With the effects of the recent financial crisis still in our memories. It is evident that no matter which career one chooses, he/she should be equipped with the basic laws of economics. Everyone in the civilized world is apart of an economy, no matter how simple or complex it is. For this reason, the League of Future Economist feels obliged to educate university students about the basic principles
of economics. It is extremely obvious that persons don't understand the laws that governs the economy we all live in. Persons don't know that majority of the commodities are related and an increase in one commodity would lead to an increase in another. The League of Future Economist wants to simplify this for its members. Our central focus is not only on Economics or Social Science based students. Instead, we strive to empower the entire university population through a series of informative presentations and captivating discussions. Whether you are a first year Science, Medicine and Technology student or a final year Social Science student. The League still has something to offer you. Meetings will be held on Thursdays and will concentrate on past, current and future events, the stock market, government policies, the central bank, investment options, foreign direct investment, inflation, interest rates etc. Through these presentations and discussions, members will be able to examine the various economic variables that affects consumer decisions. Our weekly meetings will be buzzing with energy, creating memorable moments while empowering our members with the knowledge to make wise and economical decisions. We also intend to teach our members about the importance of community development by participating in various charities and fundraisers. We believe that self development and empowerment is as equally important as community development. Education, community development and socialization goes hand in hand. During each semester, the League of Future Economist will be conducting social meetings to get our members to interact with our Executive Body and other members on a personal level. Games and other fun events will also be introduced in these meetings. Be sure to attend our weekly meetings on Thursday afternoons. You are sure to be educated while entertained by our presenters.
