Ready fi Life. Ready fi Next. 🎓✨
The Child Protection and Family Services Agency hosted its annual Transitional Living Programme Higher Education Day for Youth in State Care and Expo at the Douglas Orane Auditorium, Wolmer’s Boys’ School.
Under the theme “Ready fi Life,” approximately 300 young people were connected with opportunities in tertiary education, vocational training, career development and other essential support as they prepare for life beyond State care.
A major highlight came from the Supreme Ventures Foundation, which announced 25 full tertiary scholarships for adolescents transitioning out of State care, creating even greater opportunities for these young people to pursue their goals.
Representatives from institutions including UTech Jamaica, Caribbean Maritime University, The Mico University College, HEART/NSTA Trust, Vocational Training Development Institute, the Jamaica Defence Force, National Insurance Scheme and the Bureau of Gender Affairs were also on hand to provide guidance and information.
At CPFSA, preparing our youth for independence means ensuring they have access to the knowledge, opportunities and support needed to build strong, productive futures.
