PIOJ keeps an eye on policy cohesion in Jamaica’s Digital Justice Evolution!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Rwanda Cooperation Initiative, and the Government of Jamaica have commenced a strategic mission to implement an Integrated Electronic Case Management System (IECSM) for the justice system of Jamaica.

A Rwandan delegation is currently conducting a two-week assessment for this US$4.6 million project, which will digitize case management across the police, courts, and correctional services.

Supported by the UNDP and funded by Canada, this initiative aims to eliminate paper-based delays and reduce case backlogs. The Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) will monitor the three-year rollout, ensuring it aligns with national socio-economic policies and Vision 2030 goals for a modern, efficient justice system.
