: In the past week, the JACRA team visited coffee farms in the hills of Westphalia, St. Andrew, to assess the damage caused by bushfires and speak directly with farmers affected by the blaze.

We understand that losing coffee plants can be a major setback, especially when it takes approximately three to four years for them to reach maturity. JACRA is committed to working alongside affected farmers and stakeholders as we continue to support recovery and help rebuild our coffee-growing communities. ☕

: Recently, the JACRA team recently facilitated a hands-on training session in Sussex, St. Ann focused on proper pimento harvesting and post-harvest handling.

JACRA’s Advisory Team, along with representatives from RADA St. Ann, led the training with workers from Sussex Estate, sharing practical guidance on good harvesting practices to help maintain crop quality.

JACRA continues to support stakeholders through training, technical guidance and the promotion of best practices across Jamaica’s agricultural commodity industries.

JACRA’s role in maintaining the quality of Jamaica’s “Fine Flavour” Cocoa, regarded as some of the best in the world, contributes to the production of high-quality, world-renowned chocolate. We continue to support our local chocolatiers by promoting best agricultural practices throughout the chocolate-making process.
