Earlier today, the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 509th Strategic Signal Battalion, held a Change of Responsibility ceremony, bidding farewell to outgoing Detachment Sergeant, Sgt. 1st Class. Matthew Mathis, and welcoming the incoming Detachment Sergeant, Sgt. 1st Class. Jerrica Champ.

Want to bring your local friends, neighbors, or extended family to USAG Italy’s massive two-day Independence Day Celebration on July 1-2?

The deadline to register non-DoW guests is coming up fast on June 19, 2026. Don't wait until the last minute, get your crew cleared for base access today!

Here is what you need to know:
🇺🇸 Who can sponsor? DoD ID card holders (U.S. & Italian) can sponsor up to fifteen (15) non-DoW guests.
📅 The Deadline: Preregistration closes on June 19, 2026.
🎟️ The Process: Fill out the online form. Once cleared, the Physical Security Office will send the passes directly to you (the sponsor).
✅ At the Gate: All guests must be on the access roster and will be checked upon entry.

(Reminder: If you already have a valid DoW ID card, you do NOT need to register yourself!)

Sign up now for the Vicenza Blood Drive taking place at Del Din Sigholtz Center on June 8-9. 50 more donors are needed to give blood for the Military!!

Donors will recieve a t-shirt but the real reward is knowing that blood donations goes to help forward deployed troops and US/NATO patients in military hospitals.
