In recent days, two Allied Reaction Force teams from conducted Operational Liaison Reconnaissance Team activities in Finland and Sweden, under the coordination of Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), in preparation for future mission rehearsals.
The activities strengthened cooperation with Host Nations and Allied stakeholders, focusing on key requirements for rapid deployment, sustainment, infrastructure, and operational readiness, reaffirming ’s role as ’s high-readiness force for deterrence and collective defence.

Today, the Commander of the Allied Reaction Force met with the Ambassador of Italy to Estonia in Tallinn, Stefano Catani.
The meeting highlighted Italy's significant contribution to NATO's collective defence through its leadership of the ARF, the highest NATO readiness multinational and multi-domain force.
Beyond its operational role, the continues to serve as a platform for innovation,
experimentation and multinational training, enhancing interoperability and shared expertise across Allied nations.

Today, 8 June, the 1st Signal Regiment, an subordinate unit, concluded Exercise “Rehearsal Dart 27” at Dobbiaco airfield, following an intense training cycle launched on 4 May and involving more than 200 men and women of the unit. Conducted in synergy with the 6th Italian Army Alpini Regiment and the 33rd Tactical and Logistic Support Regiment “Ambrosiano”, the exercise provided an important opportunity to test advanced communication capabilities in a complex mountain environment.
Set within a multi-domain scenario, the training activity focused on validating C2 and C5I architecture, ensuring smooth and continuous information flows in support of NATO assets, including the Allied Reaction Force. At the same time, it strengthened mountain warfare skills, from vertical mobility to tactical planning, through the use of sand tables and ROC drills at platoon and squad level. The integration of UAVs further enhanced situational awareness, confirming the importance of innovation in support of operational effectiveness.
Exercise "Rehearsal Dart 27" also reaffirmed the strong connection between technological progress, military doctrine and the enduring values of the Esercito Italiano, demonstrating how innovation and tradition continue to work together to enhance , and operational effectiveness.

Today, celebrated Italy’s National Day at its Headquarters, marking a particularly meaningful milestone: the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic.

The ceremony offered an opportunity to honour the values of democracy, freedom, unity, and service that have shaped the Republic since 1946 and continue to inspire Italy’s contribution to collective security.
As a NATO Headquarters with a strong multinational identity, NRDC-ITA proudly joined this national celebration, reaffirming the importance of shared values, Allied cohesion, and commitment to peace and stability.
On this special occasion, we pay tribute to the history of the Italian Republic and to all those who serve, every day, in support of our Nation and the Alliance.
