Le grotte di Ellora sono uno degli esempi più straordinari di architettura rupestre e patrimonio culturale dell'India. Scavate nelle colline di Charanandri, nello stato del Maharashtra, queste grotte testimoniano l'eccezionale maestria artigianale e le tradizioni artistiche dell'antica India.

Tra queste, la grotta numero 16, la grotta di Kailasa, è la più importante. Dedicato a Shiva, è un magnifico tempio rupestre scavato in un unico, massiccio blocco di roccia, che riflette la straordinaria abilità e la visione degli artigiani del periodo Rashtrakuta. Le intricate sculture e i grandiosi dettagli architettonici lo rendono uno dei monumenti più straordinari di Ellora.

The Ellora Caves are one of India’s most remarkable examples of rock-cut architecture and cultural heritage. Carved out of the Charanandri Hills, in the state of Maharashtra, these caves showcase the exceptional craftsmanship and artistic traditions of ancient India.

Among these, the Cave 16, the Kailasa Cave, is the most prominent of all. Dedicated to Shiva, it is a magnificent rock-cut temple carved from a single massive rock, reflecting the remarkable skill and vision of the artisans of the Rashtrakuta period. The intricate sculptures and grand architectural details make it one of the most extraordinary monuments at Ellora.

Il Padiglione India del Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) a Vicenzaoro Autunno 2026 è stato inaugurato da Shri Gaurav Gandhi, Vice Capo Missione, alla presenza di rappresentanti del GJEPC ed espositori indiani.

Con 34 esportatori indiani, il Padiglione mette in mostra l'eccellenza, la maestria artigianale e la diversità dell'India nel settore delle gemme e dei gioielli.

🇮🇳🇮🇹 L'Ambasciata dell'India a Roma è lieta di dare il benvenuto alla partecipazione di esperti indiani al 25° Congresso Internazionale della Società Internazionale di Etnofarmacologia (ISE), che si terrà a Foligno dal 14 al 17 settembre 2026 sul tema "Etnofarmacologia e Medicina Transculturale".

In vista della Giornata dell'Ayurveda, il 23 settembre, il Congresso esplorerà anche le applicazioni della medicina tradizionale, inclusa l'Ayurveda.

Tra gli illustri partecipanti indiani figurano il Prof. Pulok Kumar Mukherjee, il Prof. Sanjay M. Jachak e il Dott. Sayeed Ahmad.

Cosa succede quando il corpo ricorda attraverso la materia?

In Hakchang–Polang, il movimento incontra il bambù, i tessuti tessuti a mano e gli oggetti artigianali, traendo ispirazione dal Polang, un vaso tradizionale del Manipur, parte integrante dei ritmi della vita quotidiana.

Qui, corpo e materia si ascoltano a vicenda. Folklore, artigianato, sapere ancestrale e movimento contemporaneo si fondono in un'opera che ci invita a ricordare ciò che le nostre mani e i nostri corpi già sanno.

What happens when the body remembers through material?

In Hakchang–Polang (Body Vessel), movement meets bamboo, handwoven textiles and handcrafted objects, drawing from the Polang, a traditional Manipuri vessel woven into the rhythms of everyday life.

Here, body and material listen to one another. Folklore, craft, ancestral knowledge and contemporary movement come together in a work that asks us to remember what our hands and bodies already know.

Che suono ha un mondo unico?

Con Ankur Tewari, voci e strumenti provenienti da mondi diversi si fondono: melodie folk si aprono in aalaap classici indostani, poesie originali incontrano chitarra, tabla e bansuri.
