Ambassador Burch was honored to meet with President Trump, Vice President Vance, and Secretary Rubio this week to discuss how we can partner with the Holy See to promote global peace and religious freedom. As a part of his visit he presented baseballs signed by Pope Leo on July 4 as a gesture of friendship in celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.

They discussed spirituality and how best to include artists in the conversation around the future of AI. We are grateful for the opportunity to foster such thoughtful dialogue on how emerging technologies are changing creative industries.

Ambassador and Mrs. Burch were delighted to share a piece of history at our recent America 250 celebration. This stunning 1947 Cadillac Series 70 served both Pope Pius XII and Pope John XXIII. It is a true icon of American craftsmanship with a story to match. A heartfelt thanks to the NB Center for sharing this rolling legend at our celebration!

Together, our three nations are proud to welcome the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup — the first time in the tournament’s nearly 100-year history that it will be jointly hosted by three countries.
