In data 7 Settembre, l’Ambasciatore Abe ha ricevuto in visita il rappresentante dell’associazione “Inochi, Chikyū, Heiwa wo inoru Kai”, nonché Abate presso il Jikishian di Kagoshima, Kamata Atsushi; il Vescovo della diocesi di Kagoshima, S.E. Mons. Nakano Hiroaki e altri. Durante l’incontro sono state fornite spiegazioni circa le attività svolte finora e quelle future a sostegno di una pace che trascenda i confini delle varie religioni interne all’associazione stessa.

９月７日、阿部大使は当地を訪問した鎌田厚志「いのち・地球・平和を祈る会」代表（鹿児島市・曹洞宗直指庵住職）及び中野裕明・鹿児島司教区司教等と面会し、同会の諸宗教の垣根を越えた平和のためのこれまでの活動や今後の活動について説明を受けました。

On September 7th, the Ambassador Abe received a visit from the representative of the Association “Inochi, Chikyū, Heiwa wo inoru Kai” and Head Priest of the Jikishian temple, Kamata Atsushi; the Bishop of the diocese of Kagoshima, H.E. Nakano Hiroaki and others. During the meeting, explanations were provided regarding the activities, both carried out and yet to be, in support of a peace that could transcend the boundaries between the religions present within the association itself.

Il 31 agosto, il sig. Yamash*ta Takashi della commissione permanente per gli affari del Gabinetto della Camera dei Rappresentanti, e altri membri di gruppi parlamentari facenti parte della commissione, hanno intrattenuto uno scambio di opinioni con il Segretario per i rapporti con gli Stati e le organizzazioni internazionali S.E. Mons. Gallagher circa la recente situazione internazionale.

L’81esima Cerimonia commemorativa della pace in ricordo delle vittime della bomba atomica si è svolta il 6 agosto a Hiroshima e, analogamente, il 9 agosto a Nagasaki. Tramite i seguenti link è possibile vedere come si sono svolte le rispettive cerimonie.

Il 25 giugno l’Ambasciata ha organizzato una conferenza sui rapporti tra Giappone e Santa Sede presso la Pontificia Università Gregoriana a Roma. Durante la conferenza, la Professoressa Saho Matsumoto della Nihon University di Tokyo ha parlato di “Papi e imperatori giapponesi. Passato, presente e futuro delle relazioni speciali tra Vaticano e Giappone”, presentando la storia degli scambi avvenuti tra il XIX secolo e il presente. Alla conferenza è seguito una vivace dibattito che ha coinvolto i partecipanti.

6月25日、当館はローマにある教皇庁立グレゴリアン大学において、「日本とバチカン」と題した講演会を開催しました。講師の松本佐保・日本大学教授は「教皇と天皇　バチカンと日本の特別な関係の過去、現在、将来」というテーマで、19世から現在までの日本とバチカンの交流の歴史を紹介しました。その後、来場したみなさんと活発な質疑応答が行われました。

On June 25, the Embassy organized a conference on Japan–Holy See relations at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. Professor Saho Matsumoto of Nihon University delivered a talk titled “Popes and Japanese Emperors: Past, Present, and Future of the Special Relationship between the Vatican and Japan,” tracing the history of exchanges from the 19th century to today. A lively discussion followed.

Il 9 giugno, l’Ambasciatore Abe ha effettuato una visita di cortesia a Mons. Rajič, Prefetto della Casa Pontificia, nominato lo scorso marzo. Nel corso dell’incontro si è discusso del rapporto personale del Prefetto con il Giappone e delle relazioni tra il Giappone e la Santa Sede. La Prefettura della Casa Pontificia coordina l’agenda ufficiale del Santo Padre, le udienze e gli incontri con autorità e personalità provenienti da tutto il mondo.

６月９日、阿部大使は、今年の３月に就任したラジッチ宮内庁長官を表敬訪問しました。同長官とは、長官自身の日本との関係や日本とバチカンの関係について意見交換を行いました。教皇庁宮内庁は、教皇の公式日程や謁見、各国要人との会談を調整します。

On June 9, Ambassador Abe paid a courtesy visit to Archbishop Rajič, Prefect of the Papal Household, who was appointed to the position on March this year. During the meeting, they exchanged views on the Prefect’s personal ties with Japan and on relations between Japan and the Holy See. The Prefecture of the Papal Household coordinates the Holy Father's official schedule, audiences, and meetings with dignitaries and prominent figures from around the world.

Il 4 giugno, l'Ambasciatore Abe ha incontrato presso la Residenza P. Joseph Farrell, Priore Generale dell'Ordine di Sant'Agostino.
Nel corso dell'incontro, hanno discusso sulle attività dell'Ordine e sulle relazioni tra il Giappone e la Santa Sede.

６月４日、阿部大使は、聖アウグスチノ修道会総長・ジョセフ・L・ファレル神父と公邸において同修道会の活動状況や日本とバチカン関係全般について意見交換を行いました。

On June 4, Ambassador Abe met with Father Joseph Farrell, Prior General of the Order of Saint Augustine, at the Ambassador’s Residence.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the activities of the Order and on Japan–Holy See relations.

Giovedì 25 giugno alle ore 16:30, presso la Pontificia Università Gregoriana, si terrà una conferenza della Prof.ssa Saho Matsumoto della Nihon University.
L'incontro offrirà uno sguardo sulle relazioni tra il Giappone e la Santa Sede nell'epoca moderna e contemporanea.
L'ingresso è libero.
La conferenza si svolgerà in lingua inglese.

６月２５日（木）１６：３０～教皇庁立グレゴリアン大学において松本佐保・日本大学教授によるセミナーが開催されます。近現代における日本とバチカンの関係に光を当てる公演です。
　みなさまのご来場をお待ちしています（入場自由）。

On Thursday, June 25, at 4:30 p.m., a conference lesson by Prof. Saho Matsumoto from Nihon University will be held at the Pontifical Gregorian University.
The seminar will shed light on the relations between Japan and the Holy See in the modern and contemporary times.
Admission is free.

Il 3 giugno, l’Ambasciatore Abe è stato ricevuto per una visita di cortesia da S.Em. Cardinale Antonio Tagle, Pro-prefetto per la Sezione per la prima evangelizzazione e le nuove Chiese particolari del Dicastero per l'Evangelizzazione, con cui ha avuto uno scambio di opinioni sui rapporti tra Giappone e Santa Sede.

６月３日、阿部大使は、アントニオ・タグレ福音宣教省長官（枢機卿）を表敬訪問し、日本とバチカン関係全般について意見交換を行いました。

On June 3, Ambassador Abe paid a courtesy visit to H.Em. Cardinal Tagle, Pro-Prefect for the Section of Evangelization of Dicastery for Evangelization, with whom he exchanged views on the relations between Japan and the Holy See.

Il 20 maggio, l’Ambasciatore Abe è stato ricevuto per una visita di cortesia dal Preposito Generale della Compagnia dei Gesuiti, padre Arturo Sosa Abascal.
Durante l’incontro si è discusso delle attività della Compagnia e dei legami storici tra il Giappone e l’ordine dei Gesuiti.

５月２０日、阿部大使は、イエズス修道会総長アルトゥーロ・ソーサ神父を表敬訪問し、同修道会の活動、イエズス会と日本との歴史的なつながり等について意見交換を行いました。肖像画はイエズス会を創立したイグナチオ・デ・ロヨラ 神父。

On May 20, Ambassador Abe paid a courtesy visit to Fr. Arturo Sosa Abascal, Superior General of the Society of Jesus. During the meeting, they discussed the activities of the Society and the historical ties between Japan and the Jesuit order. The figure portrayed in the painting shown in the photo is Saint Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the order.

In occasione della tappa italiana del Dual Violins World Peace Prayer Tour 2026, la nostra Ambasciata ha co-organizzato due concerti per l'evento "Violini per la Pace in Concerto": l'11 maggio nella Città del Vaticano, presso la Chiesa di Santa Maria della Pietà in Camposanto Teutonico e il 12 maggio a Civitavecchia, presso la Chiesa dei Santi Martiri Giapponesi.
L'evento ha visto protagonista un violino hibaku, sopravvissuto al bombardamento di Hiroshima, in dialogo con un violino testimone dell'Olocausto. Due strumenti simbolo di resilienza e memoria che hanno trasmesso al pubblico un messaggio di pace.
Desideriamo ringraziare tutti coloro che hanno collaborato all’organizzazione e tutti coloro che hanno partecipato.
Un ringraziamento particolare agli artisti, la violinista giapponese Ai Yoshida, e i violinisti italiani Cecilia Merli e Marco Valabrega, che hanno saputo entusiasmare il pubblico con la loro musica, e a Yasko Fujii, curatrice del tour internazionale.

「Dual Violins World Peace Prayer Tour 2026」がイタリアにやってきました。バチカン大使館は、「平和のためのバイオリン・コンサート」を共催し、５月１１日にバチカン内のカンポサント・テウトニコにあるサンタ・マリア・デッラ・ピエタ教会、同１２日にローマから70km程北東に離れた海沿いのチビタベッキア市の日本聖殉教者教会で演奏会を開催しました。
　コンサートでは、広島で被曝したバイオリンとホロコーストを目撃したバイオリンが演奏されました。この二つのバイオリンは人間の再び立ち上がる力を象徴し、聞く人に平和のメッセージを届けてくれました。在バチカン大使館は、企画と運営にあたっていただいた皆様、来場していただいたみなさまに感謝します。
　特に、バイオリンで心に響く音楽を奏でてくれた、吉田藍さん、チェチリア・メッリさん、マルコ・ヴァラブレガさん、そしてツアーを企画してくれた藤井泰子さんには心からお礼申し上げます。

As part of the Italian leg of the Dual Violins World Peace Prayer Tour 2026, our Embassy co-organized two concerts for the event “Violins for Peace in Concert”: on May 11 in Vatican City, at the Church of Santa Maria della Pietà in Camposanto Teutonico, and on May 12 in Civitavecchia, at the Church of the Saint Japanese Martyrs. The concerts featured a hibaku violin, a violin that survived the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, alongside a violin bearing witness to the Holocaust. Together, these two instruments, symbols of resilience and remembrance, conveyed a powerful message of peace to the audience. We would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the organization of the event, as well as all those who attended. Special thanks go to the performers, Japanese violinist Ai Yoshida and Italian violinists Cecilia Merli and Marco Valabrega, who deeply moved the audience with their music, and to Ms. Yasko Fujii, curator of the international tour.
