If your U.S. passport is lost or stolen while you’re overseas, our consular teams around the world can help. Here’s what to do:
1️⃣ Stay calm. Our teams can help get you an emergency passport in order to return to the United States.
2️⃣ Please write to [email protected]. No need for an appointment, you may walk-in Monday-Friday from 8:30-11:30 am

4️⃣ Apply for a full validity passport when you’re back in the United States. Anyone owing child support debt should arrange payment now with the relevant state child support enforcement agency to prevent passport revocation. If outside the U.S. when their passport is revoked, individuals with significant debt will be eligible ONLY for a limited validity passport for direct return to the United States. Oggi, in occasione del , la Console Generale Daniela Ballard, cittadini e istituzioni si sono riuniti presso il Cimitero Americano di Firenze per onorare gli uomini e le donne che hanno donato la propria vita al servizio degli Stati Uniti. Questo luogo sacro è molto più di un cimitero, è testimonianza del sacrificio condiviso tra le nostre due nazioni, e ci ricorda i legami profondi che l'Italia e gli Stati Uniti hanno stretto nei momenti più bui e difficili della Seconda Guerra Mondiale.

: Questa commemorazione ha per me un significato profondamente personale. Mio padre ha prestato servizio come soldato americano in Europa durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. La nostra famiglia è stata fortunata perché lui è tornato a casa, ma più di 400.000 americani non hanno mai più riabbracciato i propri cari. Alcuni di quegli eroi sono qui sepolti e noi non li dimenticheremo mai!

🇺🇸 L’ultimo lunedì di maggio negli Stati Uniti si celebra il , la giornata dedicata a commemorare gli uomini e le donne delle forze armate caduti in guerra.

In tutto il Paese, molte persone partecipano a parate, visitano memoriali o rendono omaggio ai propri cari nei cimiteri militari. Ma non tutti coloro che hanno perso la vita in servizio sono potuti tornare a casa.

Per questo, gli Stati Uniti hanno creato monumenti dedicati ai dispersi in guerra e cimiteri militari, negli USA e all’estero, spesso vicini ai luoghi delle battaglie in cui i soldati hanno combattuto e sacrificato la propria vita. Anche l’Italia custodisce alcuni di questi luoghi della memoria, tra cui il Sicily-Rome American Cemetery di Nettuno, vicino ad Anzio, dove riposano oltre 7.800 caduti della Seconda guerra mondiale, e il Florence American Cemetery, in Toscana, dedicato ai soldati morti durante la liberazione dell’Italia.

Oggi esistono 171 cimiteri militari nazionali negli Stati Uniti e 27 siti commemorativi in altri 11 Paesi, che custodiscono la memoria del servizio e del sacrificio di generazioni di americani.

🇺🇸🇮🇹 Ieri il Segretario di Stato Rubio, insieme all’Ambasciatore Fertitta, ha incontrato il Ministro degli Esteri Antonio Tajani.

Il colloquio si è concentrato su temi di interesse comune e sulla cooperazione in corso, a testimonianza del solido e duraturo partenariato tra gli Stati Uniti e l’Italia. Il Segretario e il Ministro hanno sottolineato l’importanza di continuare a collaborare su una serie di priorità condivise.
