IT: Dal 1 febbraio 2023 tutte le attività di Progetto Neutravel saranno sospese, perché al momento la Regione Piemonte non ha rinnovato le risorse economiche necessarie. Si sospende anche l’apertura di Monkey Island, con il servizio di drug checking e Spazio Intermedium.
Al momento attuale non sappiamo se e quando potremo riprendere.
Tutta l’equipe del Progetto non nasconde la propria amarezza e la forte preoccupazione per la situazione che si è creata con il ve**re meno di servizi che negli ultimi anni sono cresciuti e stati apprezzati dalle persone che li hanno utilizzati, dalle istituzioni con cui abbiamo collaborato (European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA), Istituto Superiore di Sanità ) e dalle reti nazionali ed europee della società civile, permettendoci di raggiungere e abitare molti luoghi e contesti a noi cari. Abbiamo inoltre contribuito a rendere i servizi erogati da Neutravel dei Livelli Essenziali di Assistenza.
Grazie di cuore a tutte le persone che hanno reso possibile questo grande lavoro: personale della Cooperativa Sociale Alice, della ASL TO4, del CAD, consulenti, volontari, ragazzi in servizio civile, tirocinanti, altre organizzazioni italiane e internazionali della RDD.
Abbiamo ora un tempo molto limitato per poter continuare a esistere: circa 15-30 giorni. Dopodichè il rischio che questa esperienza si concluda è forte.
Stiamo percorrendo le strade più opportune per superare questo blocco, anche ipotizzando modalità operative diverse, perché crediamo nei benefici che Neutravel porta e l’importanza di tutelare i diritti delle persone. EN: From February, 1st 2023 the Neutravel Project activities will be suspended, because the Piedmont Region has not renewed the funds yet. The opening of Monkey Island is also suspended, with the drug checking service and Spazio Intermedium.
At the moment we do not know if and when we will be able to start again…
The whole Project team does not hide their bitterness and strong concern for the situation recently arisen with the disappearance of services which have grown in recent years and have been appreciated by the people who have used them, by the institutions we collaborated with (EMCDDA, Higher Institute of Health) and by the national and European networks of civil society, allowing us to reach and live many places and contexts we love. We have also contributed to make the services provided by Neutravel as Basic Level of Assistance.
Many thanks to all the people who made this great work possible: the staff of Coop. Alice, ASL TO4 and CAD, consultants, volunteers, trainees, other Italian and international organizations of harm reduction.
We now have a very limited time to continue to exist: about 15-30 days. After that, the risk that Neutravel experience ends is high.
We are taking the most appropriate paths to overcome this block, even evaluating different methods of funding, because we believe in the benefits that Neutravel brings and the importance of protecting people's rights.
