"This week for the Aviano First Sergeant Council's deliberate engagement, the team ventured to the Medical Treatment Facility to be exposed to the multifaceted mission set of the 31st MDG. They linked with Ambulance Services, the Laboratory, Pharmacy, Medical records, patient travel, and the Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) office to get a hands on, behind the scenes look at part of what it takes to be the MXG of the human performance system and how, as first sergeants, they can better support their functions." This week, our First Sergeants had the opportunity to visit Household Goods and Passenger Travel to get a firsthand look at the incredible work being done behind the scenes. From coordinating moves to ensuring our service members and their families arrive at their next duty station on time and stress-free, the teams at HHG and Passenger Travel are absolute pros. Their commitment to expert customer service and attention to detail make PCS season smoother for everyone. A huge shoutout to these unsung heroes keeping our force moving! 🚚✈️

Among these heroes a big Congratulations to SSgt Thomason on earning the prestigious Diamond Sharp Award! SSgt Thomason exemplifies what it truly means to be a First Sergeant — leading with heart, showing up for his Airmen when it matters most, and never wavering in his commitment to their well-being and success. When his Airmen needed him, he was there. That kind of leadership doesn’t go unnoticed, and this award is proof of that. Well done, SSgt Thomason— you’ve earned it! 💎

We hope you're all feeling the warmth of the holiday season! 🎄✨ Today, we want to bring your attention to two incredible initiatives that are close to our hearts and are in need of our support: "Ring the Bell for Warm Heart" and the "Angel Tree."

🔔 Ring the Bell for Warm Heart 🔔
We have taken up the noble cause of ringing the bell to collect donations for those in our community who might need a helping hand through the year. The sound of that bell reminds us of the joy and comfort we can bring to someone's life by offering a warm heart and a helping hand. Let's make sure that no one in our community has to face hard times alone without a warm heart and the warmth of caring neighbors.

🌲 The Angel Tree 🌲
In addition to "Ring the Bell for Warm Heart," we have the "Angel Tree" initiative that allows us to make a real difference in the lives of our fellow Airmen and their families, as well as our off-base neighbors. Each angel on the tree represents a wish or a need, and it's an opportunity for us to come together and make those wishes come true. Whether it's toys for children, essentials for families, or a little extra money, your generosity can light up someone's holiday season.

Here's how you can get involved:

Visit the "Ring the Bell for Warm Heart" stations are outside the shoppette and right inside the entrance to the Commissary and make a donation.

Visit the Angel Tree located outside the BX and choose an angel (or angels) to support by purchasing the requested gift(s).

Spread the word and encourage others to join in spreading warmth and joy.

Let's show the world the true spirit of the season by coming together to support these wonderful causes. Your contributions, whether big or small, can make a significant impact on the lives of those in need.
