Jarðhiti, nýsköpun og alþjóðlegt samstarf helstu umræðuefni á World Geothermal Congress 2026. ♨️
Fulltrúar Orkuveitunnar, Veitna og Orku náttúrunnar tóku þátt í pallborðsumræðum, fluttu erindi og áttu fjölmörg góð samtöl við sérfræðinga, samstarfsaðila og fagfólk víðs vegar að úr heiminum. Þar fengum við tækifæri til að miðla reynslu okkar af nýtingu jarðhita, uppbyggingu innviða og verkefnum á borð við IDDP.
Á ráðstefnunni var einnig kynnt ný hvítbók sem er afrakstur samstarfs fjölmargra fyrirtækja og stofnana í baklandi Green by Iceland en Orkuveitan og Orka náttúrunnar voru meðal þeirra sem tóku þátt í vinnu við bókina.

Geothermal energy, innovation, and international collaboration were among the key topics at World Geothermal Congress 2026. ♨️
Representatives from Reykjavík Energy, Veitur, and ON Power participated in panel discussions, delivered presentations, and engaged in valuable conversations with experts, partners, and industry professionals from around the world. The congress provided an opportunity to share our experience in geothermal utilization, infrastructure development, and projects such as the Iceland Deep Drilling Project (IDDP).
A new white paper, developed through the Green by Iceland platform with contributions from Reykjavík Energy and ON Power, was also launched during the congress. The paper highlights how geothermal energy can support the energy transition, drive innovation, and create sustainable value for society.
