So - who's off to Seattle? We hear it's gonna be a fab event... of course!

The IGLA Championships are multi-day, multi-aquatic-sport events that celebrate friendship, sportsmanship, and competition. Seattle will host the 2013 IGLA Championships August 13-18. Competition will take place at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center and in Lake Washington.

Gareth speaks of his experience of joining a gay sports clubs and about his visit to Reykjavík IGLA Championships last year.

It sounds hyperbolic to say that joining a gay sports club has changed my life, but it's true. Not only have I made great friends, improved my social life, and sharpened up my fitness, but I've grown in confidence, and discovered a love of sport.

Our fabulous mayor, who you all saw during the Opening Ceremony of IGLA Reykjavik in May, is a very active human rights advocate! Check out this public letter he wrote to the mayor of Moscow this fall!

It is important for city authorities, state authorities, individuals, yes, everyone, to be initiative and doers in issues concerning peace and human rights.
People should be active in taking a stand advocating peace and human rights. Here is a copy of a letter I sent to the Lord mayor of Moscow.

Hello dear friends!
We just celebrated the Reykjavik Gay Pride last week and we all had a fanstastic time! We just wanted to show you a glimpse of this years parade! Hugs to y'all!

With a week to go before the verdict in the P***y Riot trial, the Mayor of Reykjavik donned a pink dress and danced to the band's music on a float a the city's gay pride festival.

Five action packed days which peak on Saturday, August 11th with a fabulous parade and outdoor concert.
