No sheep have lived in Fjárhellir for years… apparently nobody told them 🐑😂

Fjárhellir was once used to shelter sheep here at Ægissíða — which is exactly where it gets its name. It hasn’t been used for that purpose in many years, but apparently these two decided it was time for a little inspection.

Maybe they were just checking out the old family property.

Dagarnir eru aðeins farnir að styttast, réttirnar nálgast og lopapeysurnar fara hægt og rólega að koma aftur úr skápunum.

Hanna Valdís, sem leiðir íslensku ferðina okkar á laugardaginn, þekkir þetta allt vel — enda sauðfjárbóndi sjálf og mikil áhugakona um íslensku lopapeysuna. 🐑

Hún hefur meira að segja hannað sína eigin lopapeysu og uppskriftina að henni má finna til sölu hjá okkur í Skúta.

Það passar því vel að nú þegar haustið er að gera vart við sig minnum við á íslensku leiðsögnina um Hellana við Hellu á laugardaginn kl. 14:00.

Þar tekur Hanna á móti gestum og leiðir þá niður í sögu og leyndardóma hellanna á Ægissíðu.

Tilvalið stopp í haustbíltúrnum um Suðurland — og kannski smá lopapeysuinnblástur í leiðinni. 🤎
