Adobe Streams for Future Dreams AFTAB Library and Cultural Center : design build

AFTAB (meaning sunshine in Persian) library/cultural centre is an ongoing Design Build project by the young architects of Mah Architectural Studio from Polsheer Architects Planners Engineers. The aim is to restore a more than 100 years old abandoned house and turn it to a “cultural supermarket” for the local community in Mazraeh Shur, Esfahan, Iran. The nonprofit project is modeled with emphasis o

n creative recycling and giving young architects hands-on experience in an underserved community while respecting traditional architecture. AFTAB represents not just a library, but also a collaborative effort between architects and community to celebrate vernacular architecture. It is supposed to be a real model that emphasizes everything is possible when wisdom, creativity and collaboration work together.
