The University of Kirkuk, of modern universities, which was established in the seventeenth day of January of 2003, and included four colleges, three of which have been developed after incorporation the College of Education, which included the Department of Arabic and English Language and History Department, Faculty of Science, which included sections of Mathematics and Comput
er Science, College of Nursing two branches branch of science basic nursing and the branch of science nursing, clinical as well as the Faculty of Law, which was affiliated with the University of Mosul. have seen this university a great development since its inception and yet included this development most respects, including the scientific and represented by the levels of the wonderful achievements of our students Dear in the various disciplines as well as research provided by the Distinguished professors and their participation in scientific conferences, both those held in Iraq's universities or at universities in other countries. Also included the development witnessed by the University of Imran and the development of faculties and departments, where the creation of three new colleges was the faculties of Medicine and the College of Engineering and the Faculty of Agriculture, and the development of five departments in the College of Education are: Science Department Qur'an and the Department of Geography and Department of Physical Education and the Department of the Kurdish language and the Department of Turkish Language and four departments in the Faculty of Science, namely: Department of Life Sciences, Department of Physics, Department of Chemistry and Department of Earth Sciences. In (2007-2008) was the development of the Faculty of Management and Economics Baksmiha Business Administration and the Department of Statistics, as well as the development of nine disciplines in the Faculty of Medicine: the Branch, microbiologist, a branch of biochemistry, a branch of surgery, a branch of anatomy, a branch of diseases, a branch of Internal Medicine, Branch Physiology and the branch of medicine, a branch of Community Medicine. In the academic year (2009-2010) was introduced in the Department of Engineering Mechanics College of Engineering and the founding of the University of Kirkuk itself is a historic achievement not seen a great history of the city has ever seen.
