وزيرة البيئة تستقبل عدداً من السادة النواب والشخصيات الوطنية لبحث دعم الواقع البيئي
استقبلت وزيرة البيئة، السيدة سروه عبد الواحد، في مقر الوزارة، عدداً من السادة أعضاء مجلس النواب والشخصيات الوطنية والسياسية الذين قدموا التهاني والتبريكات لسيادتها بمناسبة تسنمها حقيبة وزارة البيئة.
وجرى خلال اللقاءات استعراض ومناقشة الرؤى الاستراتيجية والخطط الكفيلة بالنهوض بالواقع البيئي في البلاد، إذ جرى التأكيد على أهمية تعزيز وتطوير أطر التنسيق والتعاون المشترك بين السلطتين التنفيذية والتشريعية، بما يضمن دعم البرنامج الحكومي في المحور البيئي، والمضي قدماً في سن وتحديث التشريعات والقوانين والمحددات البيئية التي تسهم بفاعلية في مواجهة تداعيات التغير المناخي.
وشهدت اللقاءات تأكيد الجانبين على تضافر الجهود النيابية والسياسية لتوفير الغطاء القانوني والدعم الكامل للمنهاج الوزاري، والعمل المشترك لتفعيل الأدوات التشريعية والرقابية داخل مجلس النواب، بما يضمن حماية البيئة وتحسينها وتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة خدمةً للمصلحة العامة.

Minister of Environment Receives Members of Parliament and National Figures to Discuss Enhancing Environmental Conditions
The Minister of Environment, Ms. Srwa Abdulwahid, received at the ministry's headquarters a number of Members of Parliament, as well as national and political figures, who extended their congratulations on her assumption of the Ministry of Environment portfolio.
During the meetings, they reviewed and discussed strategic visions and plans necessary to advance the country's environmental sector.
Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening and developing coordination and joint cooperation frameworks between the executive and legislative branches.
This cooperation aims to support the government program's environmental agenda and move forward with enacting and updating environmental legislation, laws, and standards that effectively contribute to addressing the repercussions of climate change.
The meetings also highlighted both parties' commitment to consolidating parliamentary and political efforts to provide legal coverage and full support for the ministerial curriculum.
Furthermore, they stressed working
together to activate legislative and oversight tools within the parliament to ensure environmental protection, improvement, and the realization of sustainable development goals in the public interest.
