ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰੋਂ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਗਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ 'ਤੇ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਦੋ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਕਾਰਵਾਈਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 5.041 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੋਰ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 30.045 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਨਾਲ ਤਿੰਨ ਨਾਬਾਲਗਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਕੁੱਲ ਛੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜਾਂਚ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਵਧਾਉਂਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਟੀਮਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ 2.006 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਡੂੰਘੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਦਾਫਾਸ਼ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਇੱਕ ਦੁਬਈ-ਅਧਾਰਿਤ ਤਸਕਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਜੋ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਖੇਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਪਲਾਈ ਕਰਵਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਵੱਖਰੇ ਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ 3.035 ਕਿਲੋਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਜਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੋਰ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਮਿਲੀ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਥਾਣਾ ਛੇਹਰਟਾ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ. ਐਕਟ ਤਹਿਤ ਐਫ.ਆਈ.ਆਰ. ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਦੇ ਹੋਰ ਸਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਕਰਨ, ਅਗਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ, ਵਿੱਤੀ ਲੈਣ-ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹਵਾਲਾ ਸਬੰਧਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਅਗਲੇਰੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨਸ਼ਾ ਤਸਕਰੀ ਦੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਨੂੰ ਜੜ੍ਹੋਂ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਾ-ਮੁਕਤ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਵਚਨਬੱਧ ਹੈ।

Earlier, six accused, including three juveniles, were arrested with 30.045 Kg of He**in. Pursuing further leads during the investigation, police teams apprehended another accused and recovered 2.006 Kg He**in, exposing deeper links within the smuggling network.
Investigation reveals that the accused were linked to a -based smuggler who was facilitating the supply of he**in consignments from across the border.
In a separate operation, police recovered 3.035 Kg He**in from the possession of another accused, leading to further insights into the network's operations and linkages.
An FIR has been registered under the NDPS Act at PS Chheharta, . Further investigation is underway to establish backward and forward linkages, identify other associates involved in the network, trace the financial trail, and uncover possible hawala connections.
