District NCORD MEETING
On dated - 01/05/2025 the meeting commenced with a welcome note from SP Upper Siang who invited opinions, new ideas, suggestions and the difficulties faced by stakeholders while implementing tasks on ground.
The DC-cum- Chairman sought action taken by the concerned stakeholders and their progress in implementing the tasks assigned to them.
ADC Mariyang shared his experience of awareness program held so far. He also insisted on taking direct action against drug abusers/peddlers.
Dr. Teng Medical Spdt. expressed his willingness to enlighten the members on the topic "Early signs of Drug Abuse" through visual presentation in the next meeting.
The meeting ended with vote of thanks from Dy. SP (HQ).

A joint ILP /PAP inspection drive was conducted by Upper Siang district police and the Executive Magistrate.
The police team at their respective jurisdiction inspected several areas, verifying the documentation of non-local residents.
Defaulters were booked under appropriate section of law and externed out.

Dated, 08/04/2025, a refresher-cum-doubt clearing session on NDPS Act 1985 and related provisions on crime investigation was held at SP Conference Hall, Yingkiong.
The session was chaired by smt. Epi Kapu, JMFC, Yingkiong and attended by Police officers and Investigation Officers of the district.
Advocate Kabang Taron also shared his inputs into the errors and missteps often made by IOs causing acquittal or quashing of NDPS cases.

DISTRICT LEVEL NCORD MEETING

04/04/2025, Yingkiong : 3rd Monthly NCORD (Narco Coordination) Meeting of the year was held today at DC conference Hall, Yingkiong.
The meeting was convened by Shri Token Saring, SP-cum-convener, Upper Siang who stressed on active participation from every nook and corner of the society to fight the drug menace.
While, Shri Talo Jerang DC-cum-Chairman, Upper Siang distt. reviewed the action taken by various stakeholders as discussed in the last meeting.
He instructed the SDO (Telecom) to focus on speeding up the installation process of network towers in the shadow areas of the district, which were suspected to be infested with drug abuse, as the uninterrupted communication would help keep vigil of the area on a real time basis.
Further, Dr. Mity Apang, chairman Sikiing Koje Charitable Trust, suggested to include ill effects of drugs as a subject in schools. Whilst, Dr. Teng, Medical Superintendent, shared his view on training educational professionals on 'Psychological behaviour of students'.
Taking note of the review, DC-cum-Chairman advised the stakeholders to do the necessary within stipulated time.

Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0

Taking the opportunity of the event, to provide quick delivery of police service and to ensure community policing as priority, SI Kipa Robin, OC Police Station Jengging and team participated in the Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0 held at Karko village under Jengging circle .
Jengging Police offered services such as :- 1)on spot issuance of lost certificate for petty lost report
2) on spot arms deposition facility
3) on spot verification of ST/PRC after duly being forwarded by EAC JNG etc.
The programme was graced by Sh. Talo Jerang, DC Upper Siang, in presence of HODs of all the govt departments of Jengging along with SHGs ,NGOs etc.
