Swastha Naari Sashakta Parivar Abhiyan screening Camp - 5 for ladies of West colony was conducted on 31 August 2026 . It included comprehensive blood tests for anemia, Breast and Cervical cancer, Vitamin Deficiencies and Thyroid disorders. Camp was coordinated by Dr Sandhya, Sr. DMO Health and Family Welfare Railway Hospital/RWF. Dr. Shweta, MS OBG and Physician Dr. Preeti from Narayana Super speciality Hospital, participated in the camp.

RWF Women’s Welfare Organisation Promoted Green Initiative and Healthy Living at East Colony
The Women’s Welfare Organisation (WWO) of Rail Wheel Factory (RWF), Yelahanka, Bengaluru organized a green initiative at East Colony, RWF on 06.08.2026, combining environmental conservation with a message of healthy living. The initiative aimed at enhancing the green cover of the RWF campus while encouraging greater awareness towards sustainable and healthy lifestyles.
Smt Smaranika Patro, President/RWFWWO and Smt Meetika Swaroop, Vice President/RWFWWO led the plantation activity along with Smt Radhapiyari Devi, Treasurer/RWFWWO, Smt Meenal Prasad, Secretary/RWFWWO, Smt Usha Ravichandran, Outgoing Secretary/RWFWWO and other executive members. Their Enthusiastic participation added significance to the initiative and reflected the organisation’s continued commitment towards community-oriented activities.
Neem saplings were planted in the East Colony premises as part of the initiative. Adding a wellness dimension to the programme, Giloy plants were also presented to the members attending the event as mementos, symbolising the message of health and well-being and encouraging them to nurture greenery in their homes. Through such initiatives, RWFWWO seeks to foster a greener environment and inspire collective participation in creating a healthier and more sustainable community.
