The 2nd Joint Teachers’ Day Celebration–2026 was held today at GHSS, Yazali, Keyi-Panyor District, with a special felicitation ceremony honouring the Best Teachers of Keyi-Panyor District.

The programme was graced by Shri Toko Tatung, Hon’ble MLA, 16th Yachuli Assembly Constituency, as Chief Guest, along with Smt. Nabam Piju, Zilla Parishad Chairperson, Keyi-Panyor District, as Special Guest.

🌱 From Scientific Advice to a Successful Harvest! 🍈

Shri Lishi Tania, an enthusiastic and educated youth from Pistana Circle, Keyi Panyor, is setting an inspiring example of how scientific farming can open new opportunities for rural youth.

With guidance from KVK Yachuli experts, Shri Tania approached KVK for soil testing and scientific advice before starting dragon fruit cultivation. He subsequently planted 70 dragon fruit plants on his farm.

Thanks to the suitable soil and location, scientific guidance, and good farm management, he harvested an impressive 130 kg of dragon fruit in his first batch. The entire produce was sold in the local market, demonstrating the strong potential for dragon fruit cultivation in the area. 🍈📈

Inspired by his success, other farmers and youth in the locality have also started planting dragon fruit, creating a positive ripple effect of scientific and profitable farming.

👨‍🌾 Team KVK Yachuli made a first-hand visit to Shri Lishi Tania’s farm at Pistana on 3 September 2026 to observe his cultivation practices and document his encouraging success story.
