Training And Research for Action (TARA) is a secular, not-for-profit, non-political, voluntary organization committed for comprehensive rural development, irrespective of gender, caste or creed. Founded in the Year 1987 by few committed social workers, the Mission of TARA over these Years has been to strengthen the capacities of children and its communities, to improve their standard of living and
thereby control their own lives on a sustainable basis.TARA is registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. Today, it has educated over 4000 children out of which 50 percent were girls. Such valued support from TARA was given to children located in Interior Villages like Makavarapalem Mandal and even few slums in Visakhapatnam City TARA always had a Vision of promoting a just society having equal development and opportunities for all. This integrated approach and thinking of TARA has helped children from several tribal, migrant and displaced communities lead a dignified life in the Society today. TARA is located with its central office in Narsipatnam,Visakhapatnam District, AP, India and three area offices cm training centers at Makavarapalem Mandal, Kotauratla Mandal and Visakhapatnam.
