*Under the instructions of Vikarabad District SP Smt.Sneha Mehra, IPS, madam*,and under the supervision of Vikarabad DSP Anjaiah, a massive *Community Contact Program* was conducted early this morning in the Garib Nagar area under the limits of Vikarabad Police Station. With the objective of *public safety and maintenance of law and order*, these inspections continued for about two hours from *5:00 AM to 7:00 AM.*

To ensure this extensive inspection program was carried out effectively, the Police Department implemented a special strategy. As part of this, 9 cut-off parties, 5 search parties, 5 lifting parties, along with strong bandobast arrangements at the holding point, were deployed. In this operation, *3 Circle Inspectors (CIs), 11 Sub-Inspectors (SIs), and more than 100 police personnel* actively participated.

As part of these inspections, the police *Seized 55 two-wheelers* that were found moving suspiciously without proper documents in the Garib Nagar area. Police clearly stated that the vehicles would be handed over only after the vehicle owners produce the original documents related to their vehicles and after further legal procedures. Also, during these search, *illegally stored liquor bottles and banned gutka packets were seized* in large quantities. As part of monitoring elements that may disturb law and order, *five rowdy-sheeters residing in the same area were identified* and called to the holding point, where they were given counseling. Suspicious persons were identified, their Aadhaar cards were examined, and their fingerprints were taken through the Papillon Device.

On this occasion, Vikarabad DSP Anjaiah warned that any involvement in illegal activities or creating fear and panic among the public will not be tolerated, and strict legal action will be taken against them.

For the protection of law and order and control of crimes, Vikarabad DSP Anjaiah appealed to the public to cooperate with the police and immediately inform through Dial 100 or local police if any suspicious persons or objects are noticed in the colonies. *Vikarabad Police Shine at State-Level Police Sports: SP Smt. Sneha Mehra, IPS, Congratulates the Winners*

Recently, at Cyberabad, the *4th Telangana State Police Games & Sports Meet–2026* was organized. Participating on behalf of the Charminar Zone, district police officers and staff displayed exceptional talent and won medals. On this occasion, Vikarabad District Superintendent of Police *Smt. Sneha Mehra, IPS*, today specially felicitated the medal winners at the District Police Office.

In these competitions, sportspersons from Vikarabad district participated across various sporting disciplines and secured a total of *15 medals* (*1 Gold, 7 Silver, and 7 Bronze*), thereby bringing pride to the district at the state level.

Notably, in the Athletics category, *K. Swathi* won the *Gold Medal in High Jump*, becoming a source of pride for the district.
The *Silver Medal* winners include: *CI Naveen Kumar (DCRB)* in Badminton Doubles; *K. Swathi* in Weightlifting (60 kg); *B. Narsimhulu* in Arm Wrestling (100 kg); *Mahender* in Arm Wrestling (85 kg); *Srinivas* in Arm Wrestling (60 kg) and Taekwondo (60 kg); and *Rehmatullah* in Boxing (65 kg).

The *Bronze Medal* winners include: *B. Kavya* in Arm Wrestling (65 kg); *Swathi* in Arm Wrestling (55 kg); *Mansoor* in Water Sports (Canoeing – 200 meters); *Ravinder* in Swimming (100 meters); *Jai Anand* in Hammer Throw; *Prakash* in Boxing (70 kg); and the *Women’s Kho-Kho Team, which secured **3rd place*.

Addressing the winners, the SP said, “Despite being constantly engaged in maintaining law and order and facing significant pressure in the line of duty, dedicating time to sports and winning medals is truly commendable. Along with professional skills, physical fitness and mental resilience are essential for a police officer. Sports not only enhance these qualities but also instill teamwork and discipline. More than winning or losing, participation and proving one’s ability are important in sports. This victory is not just yours; it is a matter of pride for the Charminar Zone and the entire Vikarabad District Police.” She further stated that the medals achieved by the winners would inspire fellow staff and assured full support from the district police department to sportspersons in the future, expressing the hope that they would continue to strive to make the district’s name resonate at the national level as well.

During this felicitation programme, *District Welfare RI David Vijay Kumar* and *DCRB Inspector Naveen Kumar*, along with other police personnel, participated and extended their congratulations to the winners.

District SP Sneha Mehra, IPS, Conducts Review Meeting with Police Officers at the District Police Office

At the Vikarabad District Police Office, District Superintendent of Police Sneha Mehra, IPS, participated in a review meeting with district police officers.

During the meeting, the District SP first reviewed the pending cases at various police stations and sought detailed updates from the officers on the progress of cases registered so far. She instructed the officers to ensure that investigations are completed expeditiously without delay and to take all necessary steps to ensure justice for victims.

Addressing the gathering, the SP emphasized that every police officer and staff member should give special attention to pending cases. She particularly directed strict action on issues such as road accidents, thefts, and property-related crimes. She also stressed the importance of creating public awareness on road safety and working proactively to reduce accidents.

Further, she underscored the need to provide friendly and people-centric policing while taking strict legal action against offenders as per the law. She called upon the police to work with a humanitarian approach and to strengthen public trust in the police system.

The District SP also congratulated the police officers for efficiently discharging their duties during the Gram Panchayat and Municipal elections. She urged them to continue working with the same commitment, discipline, and teamwork in the future to bring a good name to the district.

In conclusion, she advised every police officer to recognize their responsibility, work with the primary objective of ensuring public safety, and make no compromises in maintaining law and order.
