Infosys new plan to attract and retain talent.

Infosys, one of the first Indian companies to offer stocks to its employees in the 1990s,in the new stock option plan it is looking to allot 1-1.5% of the company's equity to create a stock pool for top executives.Infosys will seek shareholder approval for the same in the coming weeks.

US Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia 79, died in his sleep while on a hunting trip in Texas according to media reports. The flag outside the Supreme Court was lowered to half-staff in tribute to its longest-serving justice.

Google Shuts Picasa...

Google on Friday said it will be shutting “Picasa” down, to shift its focus to the new “Google Photos” service launched less than a year ago. Google Photos chief Anil Sabharwal said in a blog post, that they are trying to create a much better experience by focusing on one service that provides more functionality and works across mobile and desktop, rather than dividing their efforts across two different products.

Nasscom’s 'Code for Next Billion Program' has got 10 new startups.

Nasscom announced the selection of 10 startups for its 'Code for Next Billion Program'. These ten startups are Wallet Guru, Light Vision, Perpignon, Kid Nurture, We-Share, I-We, Huehealth, Technovent, Padmavati Agro, and Redoctype.

Nasscom's 10,000 Startup programme aims to incubate, fund and provide support to 10,000 technology startups in India by 2023. The startups will undergo an immersive six month training programme to inspire, encourage and fulfill internet innovation among the developer community in India. The programme further involves access to technology, social impact and business mentors; workshops and webinars to receive hands-on training; investors and enterprises to help validate and scale the selected startups

Wipro Acquires US-based HealthPlan Services for $460 million

WIPRO a $15-billion company by 2020, India's third largest software exporter has executed one of its largest acquisitions in the last decade and bought US-based healthcare technology services firm HealthPlan Services for $460 million.

Google CEO is Highest Paid in US
The chief executive of Google, Sundar Pichai, has been awarded $199m (£138m) in shares, a regulatory filing has revealed.
It makes him the highest-paid chief executive in the US.
Mr Pichai became chief executive of the search engine giant following the creation of its parent, Alphabet.
The founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, have amassed fortunes of $34.6bn and $33.9bn, according to Forbes.
Mr Pichai, 43, was awarded 273,328 Alphabet shares on 3 February, worth a total of $199m, according to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
The new award of shares takes Mr Pichai's total stock value to approximately $650m.
