Without prejudice and bias the developmental model of Dr Bashir ah Veeri needs to be replicated in our constituency. Regardless of his political affiliations he has so far been at the top in terms of development living up to the expectations of the people. Off late the honorable chief minister has given nod to his all developmental initiatives especially the upgradation of phc srigufwara just a few kilometres away from Bijibiara.

Phc Verinag, the oldest hospital of our constituency awaits upgradation for decades but has often been put on the backburner for some unfathomable reasons. We request our honourable MLA sb that it is high time Verinag phc is upgraded now.

We have been cooperating with the power development department right from the word go despite that their promises turned out to be short-lived, causing resentment among the consumers. The smart meters were installed on the condition that electricity will be kept round the clock and there are crystal clear directions from the higher-ups however the pdd sub division Doru has demonstrated patent disregard to the order issued by the chief engineer. The employees faced stiff resistance when they tried to install smart meters in other areas but the people of Verinag cooperated. And in return you plunged us to 2013, 14 when we used to reel under darkness for most of the time.

A network of roads has been laid in the entire valley connecting the remotest habitations and the offbeat tourist destinations. However, the road to Herbal Garden Verinag(CSIR) is reportedly awaiting consent from our Honorable MLA sb. We are hereby making a heartfelt request to our MLA sb to give it a go ahead at once so that this unexplored garden could become accessible to the general public intending to visit Verinag.

This road will provide connectivity to the habitation largely belonging to the tribal community. Additionally, it will lend a stimulus to the tourism sector which hasn't seen any significant expansion and development since 2014. The expansion of the tourism sector will certainly register a big uptick in the employment generation. We hope swift and visible action from our beloved leader.

This picturesque pond constructed under the stewardship of Ex-CEO Development Authority Verinag, Mr Romain sb, JKAS, nears completion adding charm to this landscape. Besides generating revenue for the state exchequer, this pond will surely act as a crowd-puller creating employment opportunities for our educated youth. He is no longer posted here however it is imperative to express our heartfelt gratitude to him for this magnificent marvel. With lush-green forests at the backdrop, It will appear like another spring in Verinag.

Having seen the state-of-the-art signboards installed at various locations, the new CEO sb seems to be following the footprints of Romain sb. By taking the left out projects like Bag-e-Bahu type park on Marg to their logical conclusion, the incumbent CEO could set a new benchmark of development in Verinag.

Lastly, we want to request our Honorable MLA sb, to kindly make sure that these small parks, ponds and like are outsourced to the local youth so that they may get livelihood opportunities. We strongly believe that you will do the needful for sure. Thank you!

Over the last few days, the power development department, Sub-Division Doru, has been showing scant regard to the order issued by the Chief Engineer Kashmir at the behest of Honorable Lieutenant Governor. Despite being a metered area we are being subjected to unscheduled power cuts. Until recently, the department was firmly sticking to the schedule but now for some unfathomable reasons they have started resorting to frequent power curtailment which runs completely contrary to the order passed by the top authorities.
