ANOTHER FEATHER IN THE CAP FOR FRANCISCANS!!!

We are proud to announce that the under-17 boys from St. Francis High School, Vasai, achieved remarkable success by securing the second runner-up position at the prestigious Speak Takra Competition. The event was held in Navi Mumbai, Koper, and witnessed participation from numerous schools across the region.

The competition, known for its rigorous standards and talented participants, tested the students’ sporting spirit,confidence, and perseverance. The boys of St. Francis High School demonstrated exemplary performance, showcasing their dedication and outstanding physical abilities. Their achievement at the divisional level, earning third place, is a testament to their hard work, team spirit, and commitment.

Congratulations to the team and their mentors for this commendable accomplishment. Their success not only brings pride to the school but also inspires their peers to excel in extracurricular activities.

FOUNDER'S DAY CELEBRATION

ST.FRANCIS HIGH SCHOOL, VASAI.

The Founders Day Celebration at St. Francis High School, Vasai, held on 28th August 2024, was a memorable event dedicated to honoring the birthday of the school's revered Chairman Sir Dr. A. F Pinto. The day was filled with excitement as students and staff alike gathered to express their gratitude towards the founder of Xavier's Group of Schools. The celebration began with a special prayer for the Chairman's good health, followed by a vibrant musical prayer songs and birthday songs with dance performances, and heartfelt speeches.

A significant part of the event was the tree plantation drive, inspired by the Chairman's vision of environmental stewardship. Students from all three sections of the school actively participated by planting various medicinal and fruit trees, contributing to the dream of "Each one, plant one." This initiative not only aimed to enhance the environment but also ensured that future generations would benefit from the trees planted.

In addition to the plantation drive, students engaged in a variety of creative and literary activities, such as card and bouquet making, poetry and story writing, and elocutions, making the day a true celebration of talent, dedication, and respect for the visionary leadership of the Chairman. The week marked with joy and happiness. Students were appreciated for their efforts taken to Celebrate, respected Chairman Sir's birthday with love and gratitude.

Our talented students got into the festive spirit with a creative Rakhi-making activity! 🎉 Celebrating the beautiful bond of Raksha Bandhan, students showcased their creativity by crafting unique and colorful Rakhis and learnt about the significance of Raksha Bandhan and expressed their love for their siblings through these handmade tokens of affection.

St. Francis High School Vasai Celebrates 78th Independence Day.

The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor at St Francis High school, Vasai. The event aimed not only to commemorate the historic day but also to instill a sense of national pride and unity among the students.
The day commenced with the traditional flag hoisting ceremony on Thursday, 15th August 2024 at 08:00 a.m. The Headmistress along with the students and teachers welcomed the Guests of the Event. The guests of the day were ACP Mr. Navnath Ghogre- ( Senior Inspector Waliv), Mr. Vishnu Das - Awarded Artisian, Mr. Sushil Pendhari - Music Director,Mr Shetye Mahesh - Senior Police Inspector ( Traffic Branch)and Mrs. Jayanthi Devadiga - Athlete. The Occasion commenced with March past, hoisting of the National Flag followed by the National song and National Anthem. The students welcomed the Chief Guest and the parents with exuberated cultural extravaganza. The program began with Bible verse, prayer and prayer song. The eye-catching and scintillating welcome dance, welcome speeches by all the three sections in three different languages ,stimulated love and reverence for our beautiful motherland, Later the students presented an immensely heart touching street play on Environment.
The event also resonated with the percussion instruments and echoed with the patriotic fervour and zeal. The guests were felicitated with saplings and the SSC TOPPERS too were felicitated on the day. Along with this the program consist of 'Significance of the Day'. The students who had participated in activities all the week and won various competitions and activities were given certificate. Patriotic songs were sung by our choir group, instilled courage and positivity in the audience. The chief guest Mr. Shetye Mahesh addressed the gathering with his insightful, thought- provoking and enlightening words.
The guests and parents whole heartedly appreciated the programme put up by the students and said that the hard efforts was clearly visible. The programme culminated with the 'Vote of Thanks' by the students in three different languages, closing chorus and school anthem.
The celebration was truly a memorable one efficaciously creating an ambience of patriotism, unity, integrity and harmony

Environmental Week: Planting for a Greener Tomorrow! 🌱

This week, our students, alongside their wonderful parents, took a step towards a greener future by planting saplings in our community. 🌳✨

Seeing the smiles on the faces of our young eco-warriors as they dug into the soil and carefully planted their saplings was truly heartwarming. This hands-on activity not only taught them the importance of environmental stewardship but also strengthened family bonds and instilled a sense of responsibility towards nature.

A huge thank you to all the parents who joined us and made this event a resounding success. Together, we’re making a positive impact, one sapling at a time. Let’s continue to nurture these plants and watch them grow, just like our commitment to protecting the environment.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION OF RYAN SIR

St. Francis High School Vasai, celebrated the birthday of respected Ryan Sir, the CEO of Ryan International High School .

The birthday was celebrated with full zest and fervour on July 8, 2024 . The wishes poured in abundance for the most dynamic and vibrant personality. The students of St. Francis High school, Vasai kept the grandeur of the event in the mind, a special assembly was planned by the School, conducted by the teachers and the ceremony began with rendering Lord’s Prayer and praying for his prosperous and healthy life.

This was followed by the jubilation’s in which the students sang a birthday song and their excitement filled the air with a stimulating mood. To mark the occasion, students performed various activities like plantation, birthday card making, message writing and a video presentation through which they wished him a 'Happy Birthday'. The students also threw light on his journey, his unforgettable achievements and valuable contributions to the Institution.

Celebrating Doctor's Day with an Interactive Session at St Francis High School 🌟

Today, we had the incredible privilege of hosting Dr.Fauzan Quasmi for an enriching interactive session with our students. Dr. Fauzan Quasmi shared valuable insights and experiences that left a lasting impact on our young minds.

The session was a fantastic opportunity for our students to engage directly with a professional, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of the medical field. Dr. Fauzan Quasmi inspired many of our students to consider careers in healthcare and emphasized the importance of dedication, empathy, and continuous learning.

We are grateful for Dr.Fauzan Quasmi's time and expertise, and for making this Doctor's Day truly special for our school.

Investiture Ceremony Report 2024

‘Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.’

To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and give them a feel of the functioning of the administrative body, a school prefectural board was formed after scrutiny interviewing, selection and voting.
The selection procedure for various positions this year was very interesting.The most challenging task was the selection process which started with nomination along with a students introduction, speech, discussion of agendas,selection of symbols,making banners and finally voting. The process was successful, transparent and was completed with speed and efficiency by the Headmistress and teachers incharge.
The investiture ceremony was conducted on 29.06.2024 , so that we could felicitate participants to take the charge of student leadership. The Chief guests for day was Sr.Police Inspector Mr R.K Mane (Manickpur).The other guests for the day were Sub Inspector - Mr.Pawar(Manickpur),Mr Rajnesh Kumar - Ex Army Officer and Mr Niraj Sharma - (Representative of Maharashtra Team for Football).The programme began with Bible Verse,Prayer, Prayer song ,Welcome dance followed by felicitation of guests and badging the selected cabinets. The elected leaders invested in the office bearers and administered the oath.
The portfolios of the elected student leaders were displayed along with their photographs. It was a proud moment for the school, to witness the future leaders as they embarked on a new journey. The event concluded with a speech given by Mr R.K Mane,he said "I Appreciate the young leaders who follow their Chairman Sir's vision of Environment to preserve and conserve Environment and felicitate guests with saplings".
Students gave vote of thanks and sang School Anthem and National Anthem to end the program.
