Deva Foundation – Mission for Mankind is a charitable trust was founded in 2009 and registered under Trust Act in year 2010. The Foundation was established with objective to serve mankind. The key areas of work and focus are:
· Services to people affected by natural calamities.
For last few years it has been supporting young researchers, conducting workshop and CMEs for continuing medical education, distributing free medications, and providing support to people affected by natural calamities like flood, earthquake & avalanche much needed material support. DEVA Foundation initiated different projects – COMAP, SAMBAL, NIRMALA, ANVITA and SACCHA-SAATHI
ANVITA
A whole new territory for Rehabilitation aimed at empowerment and sustainable life especially catering to a special population of woman and female adolescents. At a global level, there are centers catering to women only but they exist in some pockets. In the sub continent, it is a first of its kind which ensures:

· World class cognitive and psychosocial rehabilitation
· Empowering residents to lead life in society with dignity and self respect
COMAP
Global experience suggests mental health care delivery system can never be effective without a community reach out program. Community Outreach Mental Health Awareness Program (COMAP) was born out of this need. This flag ship program currently comprises education cm treatment camp every month since last 7 years in all 13 districts adjoining Varanasi.
The multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Psychiatric Social Worker and Psychiatric attendants visits the community and provides free consultation and medication during the camp. The meetings with stakeholders and influential people of the area on common mental health problems have generated a strong support system for those who are in need of mental health services. COMAP has served approximately 20000 people to date.
SAMBAL
The present state, mental physical and social, of women in India is not very favoring when it comes to economic independence. The key lies in empowerment. Deva Foundation, in order to achieve this, chose to reach out to the economically and socially marginalized women.SAMBAL, a vocational training centre began in 2012. Women and young girls are put through structured courses of mehendi, motor driving, stitching, imitation jewelry making, wax work, painting and craft, paper quilling, computer & tally training & English speaking courses. These translatable skills from the bench to their homes give them an opportunity to be financially independent, hence empowered. While making them confident, independent and empowered self.
Currently, SAMBAL has 4 branches, 2 in Varanasi, 1 in Kanpur and 1 in Khajuraho. Till date Sambal has trained more than 40000 girls and women. Most of these are enjoying financial independence.
NIRMALA– The chain of Rural medical OPD
Access to good quality primarily healthcare is still a major issue. To fulfill this unmet need, Deva Foundation started a unique project – NIRMALA. It is a chain of rural medical cilnics. It runs 6 days a week during office hours. Its uniqueness lies in:
· OPD services provided by well qualified and experienced doctors
· Set up is geared to handle basic medical emergencies
· Regular camps of specialist and super specialists e.g. gynecologist, physician, cardiologist, ophthalmologist, dentist, pediatrician, skin specialist, etc.
· Planning to start Ayurveda, Homepathy, Yunani and Siddha services at same place.
· Caters underprivileged and economically backward people.
Its first centre runs in Chunar, Mirzapur.
