The pride of the Northeast, our beloved Zubeen Garg, has returning home. His mortal remains arrived at Guwahati Airport at approximately 4 AM today. As we prepare to say our final goodbyes, we urge all his fans to please maintain peace, discipline, and safety. Let's ensure a smooth and respectful final journey for our legend.

Arrangements are being made to transport the mortal remains to Guwahati.

Please accept my sincerest apologies for the delayed post. It's been difficult to find the right words to express the profound sadness of this loss.

The passing of Zubeen Garg is a terrible tragedy. His voice defined a generation, and his talent was truly unmatched. He overcame personal tragedies to reshape the landscape of Assamese music, and his perseverance and courage have left an enduring mark.

A musical icon of the North East and the pride of Assam, Zubeen's voice gave life to countless Assamese songs and bridged cultures through his art. He will remain a legend whose melodies will echo for generations.

He will live on in our hearts and minds forever. My deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and fans. May he rest in rhythm,His soul rest in peace..

Today is one of the happiest days of my life. I offer my sincerest congratulations to Pori Panday (second rank), Abu Towfique Elahi Mondal (ninth rank), and Rehan Mahammed (nineteenth rank) on their exceptional achievements, and to their parents, guardians, the school principal, and staff of Jawaharlal Nehru Higher Secondary School for their unwavering support. With 1,600 students and limited teachers, the emphasis on quality teaching and individual attention makes a significant difference. Regular communication among the principal, teaching staff, and guardians ensures consistent support for the students. I hope that such achievements and the timely release of results will continue to benefit the student community, demonstrating a commitment to educational excellence in Meghalaya. The remarkable improvement in the overall pass percentage, which rose to 87.10% from last year’s 55.80%, is noteworthy. The early release of results by the Meghalaya Board of School Education is a welcome development that facilitates admission processes for students.
