Despite being advised by security forces to temporarily leave his private residence in Tura due to apprehensions that a group/people might attack him, his family, and his home, he chose to stay back and personally monitor the situation.
Today, he walked through the streets of Tura and met the people he serves. It is a powerful testament to leadership and courage, standing firm even in the face of threats, and refusing to distance himself from his people.

Proud of you Sir Conrad K Sangma

The more I reflect on public life and the deeper I get involved in it, the more I realize that it ultimately comes down to one thing - serving the people. It means sacrificing not only personal comforts, but also valuable time and attention meant for family.

Recently, someone reminded me that being in politics should never merely be a dream; it must be a vision backed by unwavering commitment. And to truly commit yourself to that vision, you must have conviction , a deep belief that comes from both the heart and the mind.

As (L) P. A. Sangma once said, “Conviction demands sacrifice.”
His words continue to remind us that genuine public service requires dedication, belief, and the willingness to give of oneself for a greater cause.

Today in Tura, Meghalaya, I joined the family members of Late P. A. Sangma in paying our deepest respect and tribute on his 10th Death Anniversary.
On this solemn occasion, Hon’ble Speaker of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Shri Thomas Sangma, inaugurated the P. A. Sangma Museum in his memory, in the presence of Former Union Minister Madam Agatha Sangma (daughter of Late P. A. Sangma), NPP National Secretary Shri Saidul Khan, and many loyal supporters and well-wishers.
His visionary leadership for the Northeast and for India, along with the values and principles he stood for, will continue to inspire generations to come.
