2 land in ACB trap in Jammu for accepting bribe
JAMMU: The Anti Corruption Bureau's (ACB) Jammu wing on Wednesday said a patwari (revenue officer) and his aide were arrested for accepting bribe of Rs 30,000 in Basantgarh of Udhampur.

An ACB spoksperson said, "The bureau had received a complaint alleging that he wanted to sell his piece of land and the concerned patwari Darbinder Singh is demanding bribe of Rs 50,000 for issuance of Fard -the required document."
"On receipt of the complaint, a case was registered in this regard."

He said, "During the investigation, a trap team of ACB caught Darbinder Singh along with his driver while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 30,000 in presence of independent witnesses and the bribe amount was also recovered from the accused."

"Both of them were arrested on spot after completing necessary legal formalities."
