Under the District Udalguri it is observed that Japanese Encephalitis/Dengue and Malaria cases are increasing day by day.

Therefore, District Malaria Office(NCVBDC), Udalguri announced to be aware about the transmission of the Disease in the District.

Also i/c Jt. Director of Health Services, Udalguri Dr. N. Binoy Singha Pledge that “I will do everything possible to the best of my ability to make my district and my country drug free” Jai Hind!

World Malaria Day was observed today dated 25th April, 2025 at Gumgaon L.P School Playground in collaboration with Sopongaon VCDC member's under Udalguri Development Block. The meeting was organised with the support and suggestion of Hon'ble Deputy Chief of BTR cm MLA of Udalguri LAC Mr. Gobinda Basumatary. The meeting was hosted by Nazia Hassan District Consultant, NCVBDC. In the meeting delegates from Samdrup Jonkhar of Bhutan were present as Chief Guest. In the meeting a special Health camp was organised where RBSK team, MMU team, Paramedical staff and Malaria staff of Udalguri Block PHC participated. Free Health Check Up was provided to the community along with Medicines as per Medical Officers prescription . Nazia Hassan District Consultant of NCVBDC awared to the community about the Malaria,its symptoms,preventions and urged the community to join hands in preparing strategies to beat and fight against Malaria. She also spoke about how INDIA and BHUTAN can join hands to eliminate Malaria very soon from both the countries . Bhutan delegates also urged the community to take all Preventive measures to fight aganst Malaria . The Programme successfully ended with the pledge to end Malaria by Reinvest, Reimagine and Reignite.
