🌱 Advancing the Future of Green Shipping

At the India Clean Transportation Summit 2026, the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) launched its policy brief, “Positioning V.O. Chidambaranar Port for Maritime Decarbonization.”

The policy brief outlines key strategic pathways for VOCPA to accelerate maritime decarbonization — connecting green fuel production with maritime offtake, translating Harit Sagar goals into actionable measures, engaging with green shipping corridor networks, and exploring reliable green fuel supply pathways for shipping.

The report highlights the pivotal role of ports in enabling the transition to alternate fuels and advancing sustainable maritime transport, while aligning with the Harit Sagar Green Port Guidelines of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways.

The launch marks another step towards positioning V.O. Chidambaranar Port as a key enabler of India’s green maritime future.
