On 19-08-2026. a piping ceremony was held at the Office of the Superintendent of Police (F&ES), Western Range for newly promoted Inspectors (1) Shri. Medi Hussain Sarkar (2) Shri. Ongkolsing D. Arengh in presence of Officers and staff of the Unit. The Officers have been promoted from Station Officer to Senior Station Officer for their sincere service and dedication and posted at Phulbari and Ampati respectively.

Today, a Pension Parade was held in the Office of the Superintendent of Police F&ES Western Range Tura at the Divisional of Commissioner’s building Dakopgre in honour of (1) Sr. Station Officer Dhon W Marak (2) Leading Fireman Gelbin G Momin (3) Fireman Moshifur Rahman and (4) Driver Fireman Medison M Sangma, who retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation.
On the occasion, heartfelt appreciation was expressed for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the Department. We sincerely thank them for their commitment and wish them good health, happiness and every success in their retired life.

Today pipping ceremony was done for Inspector Shri Dhon W Marak who was promoted from Station Officer to Sr. Station Officer in the O/o the Superintendent of Police (F&ES) W/R Tura.

The ceremony was attended by Senior Officers of F&ES and SSP (AID) W/R Tura. Presently Shri Dhon W Marak is taking charge of Tura Fire Station.

Fire and Emergency Services Western Range conducts Fire-safety and rescue Mock drill in West Garo Hills.

Fire-safety and rescue Mock drill is being conducted in western range in all medical facilities all over the country. Mock drills are being conducted in Garo Hills as well to observe Fire-safety and rescue week in CHC's as medical departments are also observing fire safety week this first week of May all over the country.

Bipul Modak (3) Fireman. Lakhindra Sangma (4) Fireman. Smarthson Sangma (5) Driver Fireman. Shan Ch. Sangma (6) Fireman. Brikash R. Marak (7) Mech. Greetingson R. Marak. The Guard of honour was provided at the Office of the Superintendent of Police (Fire & Emergency Service), Western Range, Tura premises Comissioner of Division Office Building, Dakopgre. The family members of the personnel attend the programme. The Superintendent of Police (Fire & Emergency Service) Western Range, Tura convey gratitude to the retiring personnel on behalf of the entire Police Department and Gov't of Meghalaya for their dedication to the service.
