Vishal Vijay Palyekar: A Journey Rooted in Politics and Faith
Vishal Vijay Palyekar's foray into politics began at the tender age of five, deeply influenced by his father’s close relationships with prominent Goan politicians such as Ravi Naik, Ramakant Khalap, and Sangeets Parab, Growing up, Vishal witnessed these political figures frequently visiting his father, a respected businessman, which nu
rtured his early interest in the political arena. This early exposure to political discourse and the loss of a national leader fueled his dedication to the Congress party. By 1995, Vishal began actively contributing to strengthening the Indian National Congress (INC) in his local area, particularly in Guirim, and later in the Thivim Constituency. Vishal's commitment to the party was further recognized during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections when he was appointed as the Election Coordinator for the Thivim Block Congress Committee (TBCC). In this significant role, he collaborated closely with the Block President and Mahila President, and he directly reported to senior party leaders like Bhai Khalap and Advocate Carlos Ferreira. His strategic insights and organizational acumen played a crucial role in driving the party's efforts in the constituency. In May 2024, Vishal was appointed as the President of the National Congress Warriors (NCW) for the Goa State. However, due to the centralized functioning of the organization from Delhi, he decided to step down and establish his own political outfit, Goemkar Congress, where he serves as the Founder and Chairman. Goemkar Congress is firmly rooted in the ideologies and principles of the Indian National Congress and Rahul Gandhi, continuing Vishal's lifelong commitment to these values. Looking ahead, Vishal is poised to contest the Thivim Constituency elections in 2027, driven by a vision to bring positive change and uphold the core values of the Congress party in Goa. Beyond his political ambitions, Vishal is also a devoted disciple of Lord Jesus Christ. For the past 11 years, he has dedicated his life to proclaiming the gospel, intertwining his spiritual mission with his public service. His faith and commitment to spreading the teachings of Christ are integral to his identity, shaping both his personal and professional endeavors.
