Today, a Get-Together Drive was conducted by Com. Bitul Borah, Divisional Convener, NFRMU/Tinsukia Division, along with Com. Diganta Borgohain,Branch Secretary, NFRMU/TSK Branch and other Comrades at several Railway workplaces from Chariali to Namrup under Tinsukia Division.
The enthusiastic participation of the railway employees clearly reflected their faith and trust, in NFRMU. The Comrades interacted with the employees, listened to their concerns, and appealed to them to remain united for the protection of their rights and welfare.

We attract all your kind notice towards the street lights from Gate no 2 to NTSK station via Mazdoor union/NTSK ,which have remained non-functional for a long time. Due to the darkness, the road has become unsafe and inconvenient for Railway employees and the public, especially during night hours. The long pending request regarding this issue raised in CIG meeting yesterday by MU/NTSK which have been fullfiled today by SSE/Elect/P/NTSK .

Today, several gate meetings were successfully held at Makum, Anandabag, Tingrai, Bogapani, Digboi, Margherita, and Ledo Stations...

The meetings were attended by Sri Bitul Borah, Divisional Convener, NFRMU/Tinsukia Division, Sri Gautam Boruah, Working President, New Tinsukia Branch, Sri Sumit Mondal, Joint Secretary, New Tinsukia Branch, Sri Prasanta Debnath, Joint Secretary, Tinsukia Branch along with the Branch President, Branch Secretary, and other comrades of the Ledo Branch.

The enthusiastic participation of railway employees at all these locations clearly reflected their faith, unity and unwavering support for NFRMU.

Addressing the gatherings, the Divisional Convener urged all employees to actively participate in the Union's activities and further strengthen the organisation. He highlighted the significant achievements of NFRMU in safeguarding the rights and welfare of railway employees in the Division. He assured the staff that NFRMU always stands with its members, emphasizing that the problems of every railway employee are the problems of the Union and that NFRMU remains fully committed to resolving them.

Several gate meetings were held this morning at the PWI Office/TSK, Tinsukia Railway Station, TL/AC Office/TSK, Mechanical Workshop/TSK, and Power House/TSK. The meetings were attended by Sri Bitul Borah, Divisional Convener, NFRMU/Tinsukia Division, along with the Branch Secretary- President and other Comrades of the Tinsukia Branch.

The enthusiastic participation of the staff at all these locations clearly reflected their faith, unity, and affection towards NFRMU.

Addressing the gatherings, the Divisional Convener urged all employees to actively participate in the activities of the Union and strengthen the organisation. He highlighted the various achievements of NFRMU in safeguarding the rights and welfare of the railway employees of the Division. He assured the staff that NFRMU always stands with its members, emphasizing that the problems of every railway employee are the problems of NFRMU, and the Union remains committed to resolving them.

After the meetings, an inspection of the Washing Pit at Tinsukia was carried out. During the inspection, several issues affecting the staff were noticed, including open drainage, unhygienic and dirty working conditions, and other workplace deficiencies. NFRMU will take up these matters with the concerned Railway Administration for their early redressal to ensure a safe, clean, and healthy working environment for the employees.

Kolaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha Divas was successfully organized by the NF Railway Mazdoor Union, Tinsukia Division on 20th & 21st June 2026 at the Tinsukia Railway Institute.

The two-days celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation in various competitions, including Rabha Poem, Song and Dance events, where contestants paid tribute to the legendary cultural icon of Assam through their remarkable performances.

A vibrant Cultural Night was also held, showcasing Assam’s rich cultural heritage and receiving an overwhelming response from the audience.

The programme concluded successfully, with sincere appreciation to all participants, judges, guests and organizers for their support and cooperation. The NF Railway Mazdoor Union, Tinsukia Division extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the event a memorable tribute to Bishnu Prasad Rabha.
