Railway, with all the modern facilities required for unhindered intellectual, academic and physical growth of the students. The Vidyalaya is up to +2 level having two section in each class from I to X and Science and Commerce stream at +2 level. To ensure quality education, the Vidyalaya has well equipped Physics / Chemistry / Biology labs and a computer lab with "Internet" facility. room with all the latest technology to polish the raw talent of primary kids. Vidyalaya also has a rich library comprising more than 6000 books on various subjects with regular subscription of 16 periodical / journals. Vidyalaya also has a big play ground for all the outdoor games and activities like scout & guide, N.C.C. KVS Tinsukia Regional Office was inaugurated on 9th April 2012 as a result of reorganization of KVs into 07 additional regional offices for improved functioning. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan now has 25 Regional offices monitoring Kendriya Vidyalayas in India. KVS Tinsukia Region covers 41 Kendriya Vidyalayas of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland. Presently KVS Tinsukia Regional is functioning on temporary site on campus of KV, OIL, Duliajan District -Dibrugarh. All 41 Kendriya Vidyalayas under Tinsukia Region are functional in single shift and are catering to the educational needs of more than 25,000 students. These vidyalayas are being monitored by a team of two Assistant Commissioners, one administrative officer and other officials, under guidance of the Deputy Commissioner. We are committed to achieve progressive targets of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan as per the quality benchmarks set up by KVS Headquarter for exellence in each sphere of education. Shri Avinash Diksh*t, Commissioner, KVS is the Chief Executive Head of the Sangathan and the Chief Administrator of Kendriya Vidyalayas. At the Headquarters, he is supported by two Additional Commissioners, five Joint Commissioners and other officials. Each vidyalaya is managed by a Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) which consists of a Chair person and 14 members. The Principal of the vidyalaya is ex-officio Member Secretary of the VMC. Our KVs belong to four sectors namely 1. Defence 2. Civil 3. Project and 4. Institute of Higher Learning. Kendriya Vidyalayas primarily cater to the educational needs of wards of Central/State Government employees. However, floating population can also seek admission, depending upon the availability of vacancies, on priority basis. Kendriya Vidyalayas aim to be pace setting educational institutions.
