Lok Kalp is a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program by Lokmanya Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited. It is an initiative by Shri Kiran D Thakur, Editor & Chief, Tarun Bharat, to create lasting changes in the lives of the people of the villages. Under CSR activity, Lokmanya society adopted 32 villages near the Kanakumbi and Jamboti areas which are situated in thick forests in 2013 unde

Increase household income by providing employment to women. Life skills lessons to the youth and men of the villages. Increasing per capita income. Activities Targeted
Promoting good agricultural practices. Teaching life skills to village people and women. Identification of basic problem of people of the particular village is facing. Encourage entrepreneurship, Self Help Groups
Vocational and technical training of youth
Watershed Development along with water literacy

Introduce the women to new technology and financial services including microfinance

Women empowerment
Women and Child education: Education of women & Children will ensure both micro and macro development of villages. Participation in decision making: Active participation of women of a village will help policymakers to develop micro-planning for the village. With immense joy and compassion, Lok Kalp Foundation celebrated Children’s Day at Sahas Prakalp Karyashala, Devrukh, Ratnagiri.
A total of 25 special children, along with dedicated staff members, filled the day with smiles, warmth, and togetherness.

From welcoming the children to engaging them in singing and clapping activities, the entire celebration reflected pure love and inclusion.
A beautifully arranged cake-cutting ceremony became the heart of the event, symbolizing unity and happiness. 🎂💙

Representatives from various supporting organisations graced the occasion and added to the festive spirit. The event highlighted the values of care, inclusiveness, empowerment, and community support.

🌿 Lok Kalp Foundation Brings Vital Healthcare to Kudcherim Village, Goa!
On 30th October 2025, Lok Kalp Foundation, in collaboration with Matoshree Sevadham Arogya Seva Trust and Voluntary Health Association Goa (VHAG), successfully conducted Free Dental, Eye, and General Health Check-up Camps at Kudcherim Village, Bicholim.
Over 150 villagers benefited from this initiative, which provided essential healthcare services and spread awareness about preventive health practices. The camps, held at the village community center, were led by qualified doctors, ophthalmologists, and dental experts who volunteered their time and expertise.
This initiative emphasized the importance of accessible healthcare for rural and remote communities, reflecting the vision of Shri Kiran Thakur, Founder of Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op. Society Ltd., to empower and uplift rural India through sustained community healthcare efforts.

🏥 Free General Health Camp Successfully Conducted at Daroli Village, Khanapur!
Lok Kalp Foundation, in collaboration with Venugram Hospital, organized a Free General Health Camp on 28th October 2025 at Daroli Village, benefiting nearly 64 villagers through free consultations and medical check-ups.

The camp was supported by Dr. Vinuata, Nursing Staff Mr. Basavaraj, and PRO Mr. Jagadish Belgaonkar from Venugram Hospital. Representing Lok Kalp Foundation, Mr. Anant Gawade and Mr. Sandeep Patil were present throughout the initiative, ensuring smooth coordination and dedicated service.

👁️ Free Eye Check-up Camp Successfully Conducted at Mangoan, Kudal!
Lok Kalp Foundation, in association with Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op. Society Ltd. and Gadre Eye Care & Laser Center, organized a free eye check-up camp on 28th October 2025 at Mangoan Village, Kudal, with the support of Mangoan Gram Panchayat.

A total of 51 villagers benefited from the camp through detailed eye examinations, while 13 individuals received affordable eyeglass frames.

Special thanks to Dr. Ashwini Mehtre, Mr. Prasad Gotoskar, Ms. Bhakti Jadhav, Ms. Shradha Dhuri, and Ms. Mayuri Joshi from Gadre Eye Care & Laser Center for their dedicated service.

Lok Kalp Foundation and Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-op Society successfully organized a clothing donation drive across the Mumbai region, spreading joy and comfort this festive season. 💛

👕 The collected clothes — including winter wear, festive outfits, and daily wear — were neatly packed and categorized for men, women, and children before being donated to rag pickers working at BMC & SEWA Foundation’s Waste Collection Centre.

This thoughtful initiative ensured that families of daily workers could celebrate Diwali with dignity, warmth, and happiness. 🪔
