As part of Republic Day celebrations, Thrissur Corporation conducted a Swachh Survekshan Rally with the participation of Haritha Karma Sena, NSS students, sanitation workers. The rally was flagged off by Hon. Mayor Smt. Niji Justin. Deputy Mayor and Councillors, Corporation Secretary, CCM addressed the rally. Waste management IEC programs, installations and tabloid were included to promote clean city awareness.

From celebration to cleanliness! 🧹♻️
Post–64th Kerala School Kalolsavam cleanup drive successfully completed at Thrissur Round.
The program was inaugurated by the Hon. Mayor, with the Deputy Mayor, Health Standing Committee Chairperson, and Councillors joining hands for the initiative.
The cleaning activities were efficiently carried out by the Thrissur Corporation Health Department, under the supervision of Health Inspectors.

ഏഷ്യയിലെ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ കൗമാര കലാമേളയ്ക്ക് തൃശ്ശൂർ വേദിയൊരുക്കിയപ്പോൾ, ലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് ജനങ്ങൾ ഒഴുകിയെത്തിയ ഈ നഗരത്തെ ഇത്രയേറെ മനോഹരമായും വൃത്തിയായും കാത്തുസൂക്ഷിച്ചത് ആരാണ്? സംശയമില്ല, അത് തൃശ്ശൂർ കോർപ്പറേഷനിലെ ഞങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട ശുചീകരണ തൊഴിലാളികളാണ്.

രാപകലില്ലാതെ, വിശ്രമമില്ലാതെ കർമ്മനിരതരായ അവരുടെ വിയർപ്പാണ് ഈ കലോത്സവത്തിൻ്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ തിളക്കം. വേദികൾക്ക് മുന്നിലെ ആരവങ്ങൾക്കും ആഘോഷങ്ങൾക്കും അപ്പുറം, ആരും കാണാതെ പോകുന്ന വലിയൊരു അധ്വാനമുണ്ട്. ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ അപ്പപ്പോൾ നീക്കം ചെയ്ത്, 'ഗ്രീൻ പ്രോട്ടോക്കോൾ' എന്നത് വെറുമൊരു വാക്കല്ലെന്നും അത് പ്രാവർത്തികമാക്കാൻ കഴിയുമെന്നും അവർ തെളിയിച്ചു.

കലയുടെ ഉത്സവം മാലിന്യമുക്തമാക്കാൻ അക്ഷീണം പ്രയത്നിച്ച ഈ സഹോദരങ്ങളെ നേരിൽ കാണാനും ആദരിക്കാനും സാധിച്ചതിൽ ഏറെ സന്തോഷം. ഈ കൈകളെ ചേർത്തുപിടിക്കുന്നു. നാടിൻ്റെ നന്മയായതിന്, വരും തലമുറയ്ക്ക് മാതൃകയായതിന്... ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ നന്ദി..
