P Vijayan IPS A 1999 batch IPS officer who has proved that nothing is impossible for men of faith and conviction. He holds an MA in Economics from Calicut University.

P Vijayan IPS, (born 4 February 1968), is an Indian Police Service officer and a socially oriented Officer in uniform. He is a 1999 batch official of the Indian Police Service, currently serves as Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kerala. He is a voracious reader and motivational orator who always believe in multitasking. An accomplished and highly effective public speaker, Vijayan is very much i

n demand for his ability to deliver motivational speeches on a wide range of topics. He strongly believes and practise that a true leader is who develops more leaders. He is the founder and Chief Architect of the nationally-acclaimed Student Police Cadet Project, a youth development initiative. He also encompasses prominent positions in several community-based initiatives including;

സത്യത്തിനും ധർമ്മത്തിനും സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിനും വേണ്ടിയുള്ള പോരാട്ടത്തിന്റെ തീച്ചൂളയിലൂടെ മുന്നിൽ നടന്ന അനവധി സമരഭടന്മാരുടെ സ്മരണയ്ക്ക് മുന്നിൽ വിനയാന്വിതനായി, ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രസിഡന്റിന്റെ വിശിഷ്ടസേവനത്തിനുള്ള മെഡൽ ഇന്ന് നടന്ന സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യദിന പരേഡിൽ വച്ച് ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയിൽ നിന്ന് സ്വീകരിച്ചു. ഈ മെഡൽ അക്ഷരാർത്ഥത്തിൽ വിശിഷ്ടമായത് കൊണ്ട് ഹൃദയത്തോട് ചേർത്ത് വച്ച്, കൂടെ നടന്നവർക്കും പ്രചോദനം നൽകിയവർക്കും നന്ദി പറയുന്നു.

ഇന്ന് സ്റ്റുഡന്റ് പോലീസ് കേഡറ്റ് പദ്ധതിയുടെ 16-മത് സ്ഥാപകദിനം.
SPCയുടെ അവിസ്മരണീയമായ യാത്ര ഔദ്യോഗികമായി ആരംഭിച്ച ദിവസമാണിന്ന്, 2010 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 2ന് ആരംഭം കുറിച്ച SPC പദ്ധതി ഇന്ന് ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ആകെമൊത്തം 13000 ത്തിൽപരം സ്കൂളുകളിലായി വ്യാപിച്ചു കിടക്കുന്നു, കേരളത്തിൽ മാത്രം 1100 സ്കൂളുകളിലായി 92000 ഇൽപരം കേഡറ്റുകൾ കാര്യശേഷിയും ഉത്തരവാദിത്വബോധവുമുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ പൗരനാകാനുള്ള പരിശീലനം ഇപ്പോൾ നേടിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്.
ബഹു: കേരള ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രി, 205 പുതിയ സ്കൂളുകളിൽ കൂടി SPC ആരംഭിക്കുന്നതിന്റെ പ്രഖ്യാപനം ഏതാനും ദിവസങ്ങൾക്ക് മുൻപ് നടത്തുകയുണ്ടായി.
ഇതുവരെയുള്ള SPC യുടെ വിജയഗാഥയിൽ, അക്ഷീണം പ്രയത്നിച്ച, ഇപ്പോഴും പ്രയത്നിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന എല്ലാ അധ്യാപക- അദ്ധ്യാപികമാരെയും, പോലീസ് സഹപ്രവർത്തകരെയും, സാമൂഹിക രാഷ്ട്രീയ നേതാക്കളെയും, സവിനയപുരസരം അനുസ്മരിക്കുന്നു, Happy SPC Day 💝
