CoEM is an initiative of the Govt. of Kerala under the aegises of KSCSTE, K-DISC and scientific mentoring of BRIC-RGCB.

The Centre of Excellence in Microbiome (CoEM) is an institute to catalyse microbiome-based research, product development and promote entrepreneurship for a sustainable future on a One Health perspective. The goal of the institute is to promote microbiome-based research, product development, and support entrepreneurship.

Our Director, Dr. Sabu Thomas, participated in the Microverge 2026 CME Programme organized by the Department of Microbiology, Sree Gokulam Medical College and Research Foundation, where he delivered an insightful talk on “Exploring the Human Microbiome: Clinical Perspectives and Therapeutic Opportunities.”
