It was not just 30 days that took life of the idea to support the sign language. But it was a beautiful achievement to make thousands of people from different parts of world to understand the basics of what our deaf friends are saying in various life's crossroads like in job space, police station, blood bank or anywhere possible.

The Sign Language Challenge campaign that was initiated by Dream of us and Samasamam whatsapp group together from November 1st to 30th,has been receiving wonderful acceptance all these days! When the voice became a hurdle to communicate, this campaign has made it's campaigners believe with happiness that through sign language it is possible to bring hearts more closer.

Yes, we've seen a whole bunch of people who've been saying 'I like Sign Language. I support Sign Language' in social media with all their love for our deaf brothers and sisters.
On November 29th, with Mission Inclusive Mega Event, this campaign will complete its first phase.

This will be Kerala's first Inclusive Mega Event including Deaf friends.

Here love means, staying closer. Together through the hearts.

Deaf ആയ സുഹൃത്തിനെ ജോലി സ്ഥലത്തോ, കോടതിയിലോ, പോലീസ്‌ സ്റ്റേഷനിലോ ,ബ്ലഡ് ബാങ്കിൽ വെച്ചോ കാണുമ്പോൾ അവർക്ക് പറയാനുള്ളത് ' ആംഗ്യ ഭാഷയിലൂടെ തിരിച്ചറിയാൻ സാധിക്കണം എന്ന് ഒരായിരം ആളുകളെ കൊണ്ട് ഒരുമിച്ച് പറയിക്കാൻ സാധിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നത് കൂടിയാണ്...

ഡ്രീം ഓഫ് അസ്സും സമാസമം വാട്സ്ആപ്പ് കൂട്ടായ്മയും ചേർന്ന് നവംബർ ഒന്നു മുതൽ നടത്തിവരുന്ന ക്യാമ്പയിന് വലിയ സ്വീകാര്യതയാണ് ലഭിക്കുന്നത്. ആശയവിനിമയത്തിന് ശബ്ദം തടസ്സമാകുമ്പോൾ ആംഗ്യഭാഷക്കൊപ്പം ഞങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടെന്ന് എല്ലാവരും ഒന്നടങ്കം പറഞ്ഞു തുടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

“SAMASAMAM INDIAN SIGN LANGUAGE CHALLENGE” is a creative campaign which is developed by Dream of us and Samasamam WhatsApp group.

We believe that we can bring our hearing-impaired friends closer to us, by learning their Sign language and making them feel they are a part of us.

To become a part of this challenge what you have to do is record a video in sign language showing “I Like Sign Language, I support Sign Language” and post it in social media. For that we give a free 1-hour online workshop to teach some basics of sign language. Please note that this is not a full course of sign language learning.

A good number of participants have already taken this challenge since we have started this activity from 01-Nov-2020.

How better is that to we are understanding a sign language to communicate to our hearing-impaired friends, rather than they are learning our language.
