फोटोयुक्त मतदाता सूचियों के पुनरीक्षण के दृष्टिगत जनसाधारण को जागरूक करने हेतु निर्वाचन रजिस्ट्रीकरण अधिकारी एवं उप-मण्डलाधिकारी (ना.) सौरभ जस्सल द्वारा ‘मोबाईल पब्लिसिटी वैन’ हरी झण्डी दिखाकर रवाना किया। उप-मण्डलाधिकारी (ना.) कार्यालय ठियोग के परिसर से रवाना की गई इस वैन के माध्यम से ठियोग विधान सभा के विभिन्न क्षेत्र में भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के मतदाता सूचियों के पुनरीक्षण कार्यक्रम का जन-साधारण में प्रचार-प्रसार किया जायेगा तथा पात्र नागरिकों को मतदाता सूची में नाम पंजीकृत करने हेतु प्रोत्साहित किया जायेगा। इस विषय में निर्वाचक रजिस्ट्रीकरण अधिकारी एवं उप-मण्डलाधिकारी (ना.) ठियोग सौरभ जस्सल ने जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि लोक सभा एवं विधान सभा निर्वाचनों में प्रयोग की जाने वाली मतदाता सूचियों के पुनरीक्षण का कार्यक्रम भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के निर्देशानुसार गत 16 नवम्बर से शुरू किया गया है जो आगामी 15 दिसम्बर तक जारी रहेगा। पुनरीक्षण दौरान मतदाता सूची में नये पात्र नागरिकों के नाम पंजीकृत करने, अपात्र मतदाताओं के नाम सूची से हटाने व विद्यमान अशुद्ध प्रविष्टियों को संशोधित करने हेतु दावे व आक्षेप निधारित प्ररूप पर प्राप्त किये जा रहे हैं। इसके लिए ठियोग विधान सभा क्षेत्र के सभी 161 मतदान केन्द्रों में अभिहित अधिकारी व बूथ लेवल अधिकारी तैनात किये गये हैं, जहां पर आम नागरिक अथवा मतदाता वोटर लिस्ट में अपने नाम की निशुल्क पुष्टि करने के साथ अपने दावे तथा आक्षेप प्रस्तुत कर सकता है। उन्होने कहा कि आम लोगों को पुनरीक्षण के इस कार्यक्रम के सम्बन्ध में जानकारी देने तथा जागरूक करने हेतु दो दिन ‘मोबाईल पब्लिसिटी वैन’ के माध्यम से ठियोग निर्वाचन क्षेत्र के विभिन्न प्रमुख स्थानों पर जागरूक किया जायेगा।

A Mobile Publicity Van was flagged off by worthy Electoral Registration Officer (SDM) of 61-Theog Assembly Constituency Sh. Saurabh Jassal from the campus of SDM Office Theog, for Public Awareness Campaign on Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls. Mobile Publicity Van shall travel different locations within 61-Theog Assembly Constituency and shall aware the general public of the importance of democracy and encourage the eligible citizen to verify and enroll their name in the Photo Electoral Roll. Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral with reference to 01-01-2021 is in progress w.e.f. 16th November, 2020 to 15th December, 2020. During this revision young citizens who have or going to be attained 18 years of their age on or before 1st January, 2021, shall be enrolled in the voter list.
