நிலநடுக்கம், சுனாமி, எரிமலை வெடிப்பு, காட்டுத்தீ மற்றும் பெருவெள்ளம் போன்ற இயற்கை பேரழிவுகள் ஏற்படும்போது எந்த ஒரு அதிநவீன அணு ஆயுதத்தாலும் மனித உயிர்களைக் காப்பாற்ற முடிவதில்லை.
ஆயுதக் குவிப்பிற்குச் செலவிடும் பில்லியன் கணக்கிலான தொகையை, காலநிலை மாற்றத்தை எதிர்கொள்ளவும், இயற்கை விவசாயத்தை ஊக்குவிக்கவும், பேரிடர் மேலாண்மையை வலுப்படுத்தவும் பயன்படுத்தினால் மட்டுமே எதிர்கால தலைமுறைக்குப் பாதுகாப்பான உலகத்தை விட்டுச் செல்ல முடியும்.
