A mega multi-speciality medical camp was organised at Idgah Darbagh on 12th February 2026. The camp was organised by Ujala Cygnus Hospital, Srinagar. Screening services in Ophthalmology, Dental, General Surgery, Gynaecology, and other specialties were provided during the camp.
The Managing Director of Ujala Cygnus, Dr. Parviez, headed the camp.

It is extremely painful and disturbing that the people of Shalimar were compelled to wait for nearly three hours to arrange water for the ghusl of a deceased person.

What makes the situation even more shocking is that Shalimar, despite being located near Harwan—the main source of water supply for a large part of Srinagar city—was without water. Such a scenario in the 21st century is hard to comprehend.

While the concerned department claims to have spent thousands of crores on various schemes, the ground reality tells a completely different story...
