تاریخی جامع مسجد سرینگر میں مجلسِ رحمت للعالمین ﷺ کا انعقاد؛
میرواعظ خانہ نظر بند، علمائے کرام نے سیرتِ نبوی ﷺ کے پیغام کو اجاگر کیا

قرآنِ کریم کے لفظ بہ لفظ کشمیری ترجمے کی رونمائی؛
مکمل صحیح بخاری حفظ کرنے والے نوجوان عالمِ دین کی پذیرائی

تاریخی مرکزی جامع مسجد سرینگر میں انجمن اوقاف جامع مسجد کے زیر اہتمام ماہِ ربیع الاول کی مناسبت سے ایک خصوصی مجلسِ رحمت للعالمین ﷺ منعقد ہوئی، جس میں ممتاز علمائے کرام، دینی اسکالروں، نعت خواں حضرات اور بڑی تعداد میں عقیدت مندوں نے شرکت کی۔
مجلس سے ممتاز عالمِ دین مفتی نذیر احمد قاسمی اور مولانا شوکت حسین کینگ نے خطاب کیا اور سیرتِ رسول اکرمﷺ کے مختلف پہلوو ¿ں پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے ایمان، رحم و شفقت، عدل، اعلیٰ اخلاق اور خدمتِ انسانیت پر مبنی حضور اکرم ﷺ کے آفاقی پیغام کو اجاگر کیا۔ نعت خواں حضرات جن میں محمد آفاق چشتی اور رفیق احمد زرگر نے بارگاہِ رسالت مآب ﷺ میں نذرانہ ¿ عقیدت پیش کرکے مجلس کے روحانی ماحول کو مزید پُر نور بنایا۔
میرواعظِ کشمیر ڈاکٹر مولوی محمد عمر فاروق، جنہیں مجلس کی صدارت اور اختتامی خطاب کرنا تھا، کو ایک بار پھر خانہ نظر بند کردیا گیا اور جمعہ کی نماز اور مذکورہ مذہبی پروگرام میں شرکت کے لیے جامع مسجد جانے سے روک دیا گیا۔
انجمن اوقاف جامع مسجد نے میرواعظ کی بار بار، بالخصوص جمعہ کے روز، خانہ نظر بندی کی سخت مذمت کی اور کہا کہ انہیں اپنی مذہبی ذمہ داریاں ادا کرنے اور تاریخی جامع مسجد میں نمازیوں سے خطاب کرنے سے روکنا انتہائی افسوسناک ہے اور عوام کے مذہبی معاملات میں مداخلت کے مترادف ہے۔
مجلس کے دوران دو خصوصی علمی مواقع بھی نمایاں رہے۔ پہلے موقع پر شوپیاں کے گلزار احمد پرے کی اس قابلِ قدر کاوش کی باقاعدہ رونمائی اور پذیرائی کی گئی، جس کے تحت انہوں نے قرآنِ کریم کا لفظ بہ لفظ کشمیری زبان میں ترجمہ تین ضخیم جلدوں میں مکمل کیا ہے۔ اس خدمت کو کشمیری زبان جاننے والے لوگوں تک قرآن کے پیغام کو زیادہ آسانی سے پہنچانے اور وادی کی دیرینہ قرآنی علمی روایت کو آگے بڑھانے کی ایک اہم کاوش قرار دیا گیا۔
اس موقع پر نوجوان عالمِ دین مفتی شوکت احمد قاسمی، فاضل دارالعلوم دیوبند اور سابق طالب علم دارالعلوم بلالیہ لال بازار، کو مکمل صحیح بخاری، جس میں 7,563 احادیث شامل ہیں، حفظ کرنے کے غیر معمو
لی علمی اعزاز پر سراہا گیا۔ ان کی اس کامیابی کو کشمیر کی ممتاز حدیثی اور دینی علمی روایت میں ایک اہم اضافہ قرار دیا گیا۔
گلزار احمد پرے اور مفتی شوکت احمد قاسمی دونوں کو ان کی علمی خدمات اور نمایاں کارناموں کے اعتراف میں اعزاز سے نوازا گیا۔
مجلس کا اختتام عوام کی فلاح و بہبود، امن و خوشحالی اور انفرادی و اجتماعی زندگی میں نبی اکرم ﷺ کی تعلیمات اور اسوئہ حسنہ پر عمل پیرا ہونے کی توفیق کے لیے خصوصی دعا کے ساتھ ہوا۔

Majlis-e-Rahmatan lil Aalameen ﷺ Held at Historic Jama Masjid Srinagar; Mirwaiz Placed Under House Arrest, Ulema Highlight Message of Seerah

Word-for-Word Kashmiri Translation of Holy Qur’an Released; Young Scholar Felicitated for Memorising Complete Sahih al-Bukhari

Srinagar, September 4, 2026: A special Majlis-e-Rahmatan lil Aalameen ﷺ was held at the historic Central Jama Masjid Srinagar under the auspices of Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid, in connection with the blessed month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. The gathering witnessed the participation of prominent Ulema, religious scholars, Naat Khwans and a large number of devotees.

Among those who addressed the gathering were eminent Islamic scholar M***i Nazir Ahmad Qasmi and Maulana Showkat Hussain Keng, who spoke on different aspects of the Seerah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, highlighting the Prophet’s timeless message of faith, compassion, justice, moral integrity and service to humanity. The Naat Khwans Mohd Afaaq Chisti and Rafique Ahmed Zardari presented devotional verses in praise of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, adding to the spiritual atmosphere of the occasion.

Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq, who was scheduled to preside over and conclude the Majlis, was once again placed under house arrest and prevented from attending the Friday congregation and the religious programme at Jama Masjid.

Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid strongly condemned the repeated house arrest of the Mirwaiz, particularly on Fridays, saying that preventing him from discharging his religious responsibilities and addressing the faithful at the historic Jama Masjid was deeply regrettable and amounted to interference in the religious affairs of the people.

The Majlis was also marked by two special scholarly occasions. The first was the formal release and recognition of a remarkable effort by Gulzar Ahmad Parray of Shopian, who has rendered a word-for-word translation of the Holy Qur’an into the Kashmiri language in three substantial volumes. The initiative was appreciated as an important contribution towards making the message of the Qur’an more accessible to Kashmiri-speaking people and carrying forward the Valley’s long tradition of Qur’anic scholarship and service.

The second special occasion honoured young Islamic scholar M***i Showkat Ahmad Qasmi, a Fazil of Darul Uloom Deoband and former student of Darul Uloom Bilaliya, Lal Bazar, who has achieved the rare distinction of memorising the complete Sahih al-Bukhari, comprising 7,563 Ahadith, as mentioned during the programme. His achievement was described as a significant contribution to Kashmir’s distinguished tradition of Hadith scholarship and religious learning.

Both Gulzar Ahmad Parray and M***i Showkat Ahmad Qasmi were felicitated on the occasion in recognition of their respective contributions.

The Majlis concluded with prayers for the welfare of the people, peace and prosperity, and for the ability to follow the teachings and noble example of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in individual and collective life.

Srinagar, September 2, 2026: Anjuman Auqaf Jamia Masjid Srinagar, as per tradition, will hold a special Majlis-e-Rahmat-ul-lil-Alameen on Friday, 4th September 2026, from 12:00 noon at the historic Central Jamia Masjid Srinagar.

Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Condoles Demise of Haji Ali Mohammad Baba

Srinagar, August 31, 2026: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Mohammad Umar Farooq, President Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar, has expressed deep grief over the demise of Haji Ali Mohammad Baba of Botakadal, Lal Bazar, Srinagar, who passed away after a prolonged illness. A retired Government Accounts Officer, he was a longstanding and dedicated member and office bearer of the Anjuman.

Paying tribute to the deceased, Mirwaiz described him as a pious, honest and dedicated person who served the Anjuman with sincerity and responsibility. He said the Baba family has shared a longstanding bond with the Mirwaizeen-e-Kashmir, while the deceased’s deep attachment to Jama Masjid Srinagar will always be remembered with respect.

Mirwaiz conveyed heartfelt condolences to his sons Bilal Ahmad Baba and Tariq Ahmad Baba, the bereaved family and to Altaf Ahmad Bhat, General Secretary Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar, and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannah and patience to the bereaved family.
