*Srinagar, July 25:* In a major push to intensify public engagement ahead of the PDP Foundation Day, General Secretary Mohammad Khurshid Alam led an impressive workers' meeting in Shalteng constituency today.

Emphasising the need to re-energise grassroots connect, Alam urged party cadre to gear up for deeper community outreach and organisational preparedness.

“The time demands that we listen, act and rebuild—door to door, voice to voice. PDP’s strengthen ok g grassroots begins with the people,” Alam said, calling for renewed unity and commitment from the ground level up.

In his address, Khurshid Alam stressed that PDP's legacy is rooted in public service, dialogue, and dignity for every citizen. He called upon the workers to carry forward this legacy by being present among the people, understanding their needs and voicing their concerns boldly.

“PDP has never shied away from standing with the people during the toughest times. Our journey forward must be shaped by courage, compassion, and commitment to justice,” Alam asserted.

The meeting was organised by Abdul Qayoom Bhat, District President Srinagar, as part of PDP’s ongoing public outreach programme.

Bhat, who played a pivotal role in mobilising workers, reiterated the party’s resolve to represent the genuine aspirations of the people. He appealed to workers to reclaim public trust through humility, visibility, and service-driven politics.

“The PDP is not just a political party—it is a platform for people’s dignity, dialogue, and deliverance. We must walk with the people, not just speak for them,” Bhat said in his concluding remarks.

Several senior leaders and zonal functionaries were present, including Dr. Ali Mohammad (Coordinator Srinagar), Zone President Ali Mohammad Baba, Mohammad Shafi Kundanghar, Altaf Ahmad Tambakoo, Bilal Ahmad Sofi, Ishfaq Ahmad Khan, Abdul Hamid Khan, Azam Iqbal and others, who reaffirmed their resolve to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure and prepare for the Foundation Day with unity and purpose.

Jammu and kashmir People's Democratic Party General Secretary Mohammed Khursheed Aalam Inaugurates New Zone Office at Eidgah Srinagar..

Srinagar, 18/07/25 — In a significant move to strengthen grassroots connectivity and better serve the public, Party General Secretary Mohammed Khursheed Aalam inaugurated a new Zone Office at Eidgah today. The office aims to facilitate closer interaction between the public and their leaders, and to streamline access to government services and party initiatives.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by PDP Cordinator Srinagar Ex Vc Dr Ali Mohmmad Wani Zone President Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, ward president Rathpora Sheraz Ahmad bhat, ward president Eidgah Fayaz Ahmad Wani, Ward president Palpora, Gh Nabi Rather, Ward president Nawakadal Zahid Ayoub, Cordinator zone Eidgah Mohammed Shafi Ganie Former SMC Corporator Haji Mohmmad Ashraf Bhat Senoir party workers, and a large number of residents from the constituency. Speaking at the event, Mr. Aalam emphasized the party's commitment to transparent governance, inclusive development, and responsiveness to public needs.

“This office is not just a building—it is a bridge between the people and their voice in government,” said General Secretary Aalam. “We want citizens to feel heard, supported, and empowered.”
The newly inaugurated office will serve as a hub for Zone level coordination ,grievance redressal and public engagement..

The office will be open to the public six days a week and will host regular grievance redressal sessions, outreach programs, and development initiative reviews.

During the event both General Secretary Mohammed Khursheed Aalam, Zone president Fayaz Ahmad, Coordinator Dr Ali Mohmmad called upon all party workers to actively participate in the upcoming Party"s Raising Day celebration..

_Legacy of July 13 Martrys Lives On Through Resolve_

*Srinagar, July 14:* Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) General Secretary Mohammad Khurshid Alam on Sunday extended heartfelt gratitude to the party’s leaders, workers, and supporters who, on the call of the party President Mehbooba M***i Sahiba, attempted to march towards Mazar-e-Shuhada on July 13 but were forcibly stopped by the administration.

“We are deeply thankful to our cadre whose courage, commitment and unwavering resolve upheld the spirit of July 13, despite being met with barriers and restrictions,” Alam said in a statement. “They carried the memory of our martyrs with dignity, ensuring that this sacred day is neither forgotten nor erased from our collective conscience.”

Alam strongly condemned the administration’s actions, terming them undemocratic and morally indefensible. “The use of force to prevent a peaceful homage to our martyrs is a stark reflection of how far the current dispensation has drifted from democratic values,” he said. “While they may have stopped our movement physically, they failed to suppress the moral and ethical force behind it.”

He emphasized that the government’s high-handedness has only strengthened the PDP’s resolve to protect and preserve Kashmir’s historical and political identity.

“Our martyrs are not just part of history—they are a living reminder of the sacrifices made for dignity and rights. No authority can blot out their legacy,” he added.
