Tehreek-e-Hurriyat J&K believes that the solution to Kashmir conflict can be achieved by demilitarisation of Kashmir (through withdrawal of all outside forces) followed immediately by a plebiscite under impartial control to determine the future status of Kashmir. It was becoming all the more necessary because the other pro freedom parties lacked direction,dedication and dynamism to bring the natio
n out of despondency. Despite the sacrifices rendered by the masses, the shackles of Indian imperialism could not be broken and the occupying power benifitted from the mess on the political scene. The central consultative body of Jama'at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir decided to Join APHC headed by Syed Ali Geelani and also consented in favour of a new political organization( on the basis of division of work) that would struggle to achieve the goal with full support of the state wide organization of Jama'at.
