The celebrations across Kashmir Division on the eve of the 78th Independence Day were marked by a series of colorful events, showcasing the region's unity and patriotism. All FPF Gamma Units actively participated, demonstrating their commitment to the nation's security and environmental conservation.The highlight of the celebrations was the participation of the FPF contingent in the main function at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar. This event, held in the heart of the city, was a focal point for the Independence Day festivities. The stadium was adorned with vibrant decorations, and the atmosphere was charged with enthusiasm as various contingents, including the FPF, took part in the parade and other ceremonial activities.The FPF contingent's presence at Bakshi Stadium symbolized the importance of their role in protecting the region's forests and natural resources, even as they contributed to the broader celebration of the nation's independence. Their disciplined march and the display of their commitment to duty were a testament to the strength and dedication of the FPF.
Several functions & flag hoisting ceremonies were conducted at all Unit Headquarters including Delta HQ of FPF - Kashmir.

Director Forest Protection Force J&K alongwith Joint Director FPF Kashmir & Joint Director FPF Jammu convened an important meeting on 24.06.2024 with Deputy Directors and prosecuting officers of Kashmir Region to discuss the pressing issue of forest damage cases.
The meeting focused on the prosecution of Forest cases and the efficient disposal of forest-related legal matters.
The Director emphasized the critical need for stringent action against forest offenders and highlighted the importance of thorough investigations and robust legal strategies to ensure justice.
During the session, various challenges and best practices were shared, aiming to strengthen our efforts in protecting our precious forest resources.We remain committed to preserving our forests and will continue to pursue all legal avenues to hold perpetrators accountable.

Today on 20.06.2024, Director Forest Protection Force J&K Mr. Sandeep Kujur( IFS) and Joint Director FPF Kashmir Mr. Tawheed Ahmad Deva (IFS) paid a visit to the Forest Protection Force Gamma Unit K-12 Tangmarg to assess the functioning and operations concerning forest protection.
The visit aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of current strategies, ensure compliance with regulations, and identify areas for improvement to enhance the conservation efforts within the forest region.
During the visit Gamma Unit campus assets were inspected and the official registers viz.Roznamcha etc were checked. Director stressed upon the disposal of seizure cases under trial before the concerned Authorised officers.
Lateron officers visited the Gulmarg forest area upto Botapathri alongwith Deputy Director FPF Tangmarg Mr. Shabir Ahmad Sheikh (ACF) & FPF personnel of the unit to have the firsthand assessment regarding the forest protection scenario. Interaction with local people was also held with respect to functioning of Forest Protection Force and the FPF personnel were directed to be vigilant & prompt in close coordination with territorial forest staff to avoid any damage to forest wealth.

Today on 18-04-2024, Joint Director Forest Protection Force Kashmir Mr. Tawheed Ahmad Deva IFS accompanied by Deputy Director Gamma unit K-11 Lidder, along with FPF personnel conducted an extensive tour of Kulgam Forest Division. The officer visited the Reporting Centre Kulgam interacted with the FPF personnel and discussed the protection scenario of the area in detail and directions were given for the effective control of Forest Offences especially encroachment and smuggling by developing a robust intelligence network system, besides worthy JD FPF Kashmir reviewed the ESMS duties being performed by FPF during the Lok sabha election 2024.
The officer along with all FPF personnel conducted on road patrolling of different forest blocks of Kulgam Forest Division including Kongwattan, Manzgam and KB pora blocks apart from visiting FPF site at Aushmuji.
Later a brief meeting was held with DFO Kulgam in his office chamber and discussed protection related issues and better synergy for overall improvement of the Protection Scenario of Kulgam Forest Division.

Today International day of Forests 2024 was celebrated all over the world on the theme " *Forests & Innovation"...*
In J&K UT main function was organised in SKICC Srinagar where different wings of Forest department participated.
Forest Protection Force Kashmir through all Gamma units organised different programmes viz. plantation drives, awareness programmes, Green Marches etc on the day across the Kashmir division to spread the message regarding the importance of forests.
