Baramulla, January 21:In a commendable initiative, Parmeet Kour, Member of the District Development Council Rafiabad, took a significant step towards community development by distributing ten cricket kits to various cricket clubs at Dangiwacha Rafiabad Baramulla. The distribution ceremony unfolded in the presence of the District Youth Service and Sports Officer, accompanied by other esteemed officers.
Valued at 9.33 lacs, the sports equipment was sourced through the Youth Service and Sports Department from the Capex Budget DDC grants allocated for the fiscal year 2023-24. This allocation underscores the firm commitment to promoting sports and fostering community engagement in the Rafiabad district.
The dedicated funds for sports equipment highlight the importance placed on youth development and recreational activities within the community. The distributed cricket kits aim to not only enhance the sporting infrastructure but also encourage active participation in cricket among local clubs, providing a platform for talent to thrive.
